An alleged home intruder in San Antonio, Texas, died Saturday shortly after being shot multiple times by a homeowner around 9 p.m.

The alleged intruder was 59 years old, and the homeowner is 27, the San Antonio Express-News reported.

The New York Times is reporting that Finland, where Tuesday morning’s fatal, school shooting occurred, has one of the highest rates of gun ownership in Europe. A statewide study is revealing a difference in the approval of "red flag" law petitions among Colorado counties. The study highlights data collected since Colorado's "red flag" law took effect in January 2020. The goal of the law is to remove guns from people believed to be at high risk of committing violence. Before it went into effect in 2020, multiple Colorado counties, including El Paso County, took a public stance against the law, declaring themselves "Second Amendment sanctuaries."

Democrats in the Aloha State are in the final stages of passing a new law to raise the minimum age for purchasing ammunition to 21. The 51-member Hawaii State House on April Fool's Day approved SB2845 with only five Representatives voting against the measure. The bill had previously passed the 25-member State Senate by a 22-3 vote. For the record, the entire state legislature only contains eight Republicans.
