That famous formulation by Bill Clinton describing the Normal Americans that Democrats used to at least pretend to care about now describes the Americans that the Democrats openly hate – you and me. We’re America. We work hard. We play by the rules. But everything bad is our fault, and the solution to every real or imaginary problem is to take more of our money and more of our freedom and hand them over to the liberal elite to redistribute among their minions. |

Leaders in the Florida Senate voted 22-17 last week to expand gun legislation, saying "yes" to a bill that would permit teachers in Florida schools to carry guns on campus. The bill has wide support in the House, too -- and in the Governor's Office, where Ron DeSantis is anxious to sign it. What a turnaround from a year ago. In 2018, swept up in post-Parkland emotion, guns and pro-gun bills were nearly as toxic as a cup of Jim Jones' Kool-Aid.

A burglar drove a Jeep through the front door of the Athens Gun Club early Sunday, making a hole for he and four accomplices to then rob the facility of multiple firearms. At about 4:30 a.m., burglars used a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee stolen the previous night to ram the gun club on Mill Center Boulevard in Athens, according to Athens-Clarke County police spokesman Geof Gilland. Leaving the Jeep inside the building, the burglars entered the club to steal guns. |

At the 2019 NRA Annual Meetings and Exhibits in Indianapolis, IN, Surelock Security Co. had a variety of their safes and cabinets on display. Something that caught my eye was the innovative cabinets that comprise the Constitutional series (pictured at top). They are a brilliant and elegant solution to gun organization. Using a pull-out vertical drawer that the company has dubbed EasyAccess, cabinets in the Constitutional line make it a breeze to access guns or gear located in the rear.

That Washington State Legislature passed a bill Sunday night that will protect the identities of residents who turned in bump stocks once they became illegal in March. Senator Mike Padden of Spokane Valley says the people who turned-in bump stocks had no idea their names would be made public. “If people had known at the time that their names could were going to become a public record and they’d be subject to possible harassment and other things, they probably wouldn’t have done it.”

To understand how American citizens today can get their hands on ammo, which rolls off the same factory lines as those that supply the world's largest militaries, it's important to first understand how munitions technology developed. Starting in medieval Europe, on a battlefield where a mounted knight in armor could defeat almost any number of peasants, the development of more advanced and accurate ways to destroy enemy personnel and equipment by launching a projectile is one which combines trial and error, scientific ingenuity, and private enterprise. |
