Joe Biden’s approval rating remains below 50 percent, and things may be going from bad to worse for the president, depending upon whose poll results one believes.
According to Fox News, he gets a failing grade, and it doesn’t appear he is going to reverse the trend anytime soon. The president cannot get any traction on the economy and he’s also been taking criticism for mishandling the Chinese spy balloon flap from several weeks. |

As with any full metal jacket bullet, the FMJ boat tail is fully (or mostly) encased in copper or another hard metal or material. Roughly resembling the shape of a boat, boat tails are named for their designed tapered rear when viewed from the side. This bullet type is commonly used for competition shooting due to their easy assembly. These rounds tend to be easy to assemble without denting, nicking or scratching the bullet surface – and any tiny imperfection can lead to unwanted bullet performance, or can even cause issues with the casing. |

Today, the Senate Judiciary Committee heard and voted to pass House Bills 1339 and 1340, both of which improve self-defense rights in North Dakota. They now go to the full Senate for further consideration. Please contact your state senator and ask them to SUPPORT HB 1339 and HB 1340.
House Bill 1339 removes the requirement that individuals exercising constitutional carry must have a North Dakota driver’s license or ID card at least 30 days old and instead extends it to valid driver’s licenses or ID cards from any state. This ensures that all law-abiding citizens can access their right-to-carry whether they live here, just moved here, or are just visiting.

Last Wednesday, The Washington Post published an editorial entitled, “No one needs an AR-15 — or any gun tailor-made for mass shootings.” That piece followed an earlier series of articles about the AR-15 under the heading, “AMERICAN ICON: The gun that divides a nation.” Both efforts were meant to echo and amplify Joe Biden’s call to ban semiautomatic long guns and “large capacity” magazines. They were, however, ironically self-refuting and established beyond any doubt that AR-15s are in fact shielded by the Second Amendment. Meanwhile, the logic of the authors’ arguments (such as it was), had no limiting principles and would inevitably lead to calls for banning ALL guns.

Two weeks ago, the North Carolina General Assembly passed S. 41, legislation that sought to remove the requirement that all law-abiding North Carolinians apply for, and receive, a permit-to-purchase (PtP) before they could lawfully acquire a handgun in the state. The bill also sought to remove the absolute prohibition on valid carry permit holders carrying handguns intended for self-defense into any church that also has a school attached. Anti-gun Governor Roy Cooper (D) vetoed the legislation, as he did in 2021 with two separate bills. While the 2021 vetoes held, last week, the General Assembly overrode his veto of this year’s bill that combined the two matters. |

Quick, what 130-year-old product do you still use in its original form? A car? Nope. Airplane? Nope. Train? Nope. Radio, TV set, computer, socket set, camera … nope all around. But what about a Model 1892 lever-action, thank-you-very-much? His Eminence John Browning designed many guns that still are essentially the same as they were when he created them in 1885, 1886, 1892, 1894 and 1911, to name just a handful. If those numbers sound familiar it’s because they are still in production by one company or another and all are essentially made in exactly the same form Browning brought to life originally. Amazing? You bet. |

Anyone who is paying attention to the banks collapsing and the subsequent bailouts, ballooning inflation, the forced acceptance of immoral lifestyles, the teaching of perversion in the country’s classrooms, the loss of trust in elections, and, finally, the acceleration of the disarmament of civilians must agree with Rockwell. And unless something is changed — urgently and drastically — that violent storm on the horizon will continue to gather strength. |

California law enforcement took away 54 so-called ghost guns last year from people who can't legally own firearms, a 38% jump in the number of the hard-to-trace weapons seized since 2021 under a unique state program, officials said Monday. The ghost guns, which are privately made firearms without a serial number, were part of nearly 1,500 guns taken statewide last year through an only-in-California program called the Armed and Prohibited Persons System, known as APPS. |

The United States of America is founded on the presumption of innocence. After the Supreme Court’s landmark New York State Pistol Rifle Association v. Bruen Supreme Court decision, there is now a presumption that gun laws are unconstitutional unless the government can prove there was a similar law at the time of the ratification of the Second Amendment. |

Gov. Ron DeSantis on Monday signed a measure that will allow Florida residents to carry guns without a state permit — but falls short of what some gun-rights activists sought. DeSantis signed the legislation behind closed doors in the governor’s office, with news of the bill signing being released first to Fox News. He had pledged during an appearance last week at a Georgia gun store that he would act quickly on the proposal, which passed the Florida Legislature on Thursday. |

An armed felon ended up in custody with a gunshot wound to the chest after allegedly attempting to rob a concealed-carry holder in Detroit on Feb. 8, 2023. At 9:50 p.m., the armed citizen and his friend entered Carmen's Delicatessen and were followed into the store by the alleged robber and another man. When the two men exited the store, the felon, who had previously been convicted of armed robbery and firearms violations and is not legally allowed to own a gun, pulled out a gun and threatened to kill one of the victims if they didn't give him everything they had.

Recently the Sagola Township Sportsmens Club Youth Program (AKA Big Shooters Club) held a special “clean-up day” for the American Legion Post 50. American Legion Post 50 Color Guard presents the colors for local parades, sporting events and veteran funerals. Many of these events are held in the rain or snow. The M1 Garand rifles used are rarely ever cleaned before storing them for the next event. Some of the rifles have even started to malfunction when performing rifle salutes for fallen veterans. Youth members of the STSC Rifle Team collected the rifles, disassembled, clean and lubricated, reassembled and then function checked each rifle. All work was performed under the watchful eye of certified adult instructors.
