Holland & Holland, a firearms company from England, developed the .375 H&H Magnum in 1912 – a cartridge that would eventually come to be called the “Queen of the Medium Bores.” The .375 H&H Mag was specifically designed for hunting big game in Africa, and it was successful. The cartridge is sufficient to harvest any large game animal on the continent, including the Big Five species. Although it's been around for over 100 years, it still warrants respect, and is often chosen by both professional hunters and sportsmen. The .375 is the base of Holland & Holland's most popular cartridge, the .300 H&H Magnum.

Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr reacted to Sunday’s shooting in Sacramento by pushing gun laws that already exist in California. FOX News quoted Kerr saying, “I don’t think moments of silence are going to do anything. At some point … our government has to decide are we going to have some common sense gun laws, it’s not going to solve everything, but it will save lives.”

Media reports that Jimenez Arms is going to have its FFL revoked after litigation by Everytown should have every Second Amendment supporter worried. What it exposes is a not-so-new threat that could render any potential Supreme Court victory moot. Note how Everytown was able to buy up the assets of Jimenez Arms, and then have the complete inventory scrapped.

Anti-gun activist David Hogg spent the weekend tweeting out his usual half-baked nonsense about guns. “If you need a license to kill deer why don’t you need one to kill humans?” and “Uteruses should not be more regulated than guns,” and other similar gems. Hogg, now a student at Harvard, is apparently under the impression that the Second Amendment sanctions murder and that pregnant women are subjected to background checks. It’s nearly impossible to engage in any genuine debate with emotionalist arguments so untethered from reality.

We have Civil War reenactors, Italian movie producers and Cowboy Action shooters to thank for creating a market for replica revolvers, rifles and shotguns. These replicas cover the gamut of firearms available from the days of the American Revolution, the American Civil War and the taming of the Old West. Prices on these replicas put them within reach for many of us who cannot justify springing for an original Colt Single Action Army, Winchester 1873 or other collectible firearms from these historic eras.

A research group specializing in the firearms industry found that the most frequently bought handgun ammo brand purchased last year was almost a no-brainer. Blazer, a sub-brand of CCI, was named by Southwick Associates as the most common handgun ammo brand cited in a yearly survey of over 11,000 hunters and recreational shooters. Florida-based Southwick's annual HunterSurvey and ShooterSurvey consumer panels identified the top brands purchased in the market. According to the results, CCI and Blazer made up 14 percent of handgun ammo boxes purchased.

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
Americans who value freedom had better be more concerned about the gun control crowd than the criminals. The criminals want your money. The Neo-Totalitarians want your freedom. — Charlie Reese
