While anti-gun politicians from Joe Biden down to Sacramento Mayor Darrel Steinberg have exploited the mass shooting early Sunday that took six lives and left a dozen other people wounded, the investigation of the Sacramento mayhem has taken some interesting twists.
Police arrested 26-year-old Dandrae Martin on Monday as a “related suspect,” and he is facing charges of assault with a deadly weapon and illegal firearm possession. |

On June 13, 2022, residents of Ohio (and law-abiding non-residents) over the age of 21 who might otherwise qualify to obtain a Concealed Handgun License (CHL), will no longer be legally obligated to do so in order to carry a concealed handgun.
Ohio becomes the 23rd state to recognize the right to bear arms. This doesn't mean the state's self-defense laws have changed. It just means the state no longer mandates a licensing process before exercising this right. |

The legal committee posted a lengthy agenda ahead of its afternoon deadline with dozens of items. Not everything on the itinerary received a vote before the deadline to approve committee bills. |

Best known for their piston-driven AR platform rifles, Adams Arms launched their first complete pistol in 2021, the compact semi-automatic 9 mm AA19. Accurate, comfortable in the hand and reliable, the AA19 is a great choice for home defense and concealed carry, and right out of the box it will accommodate a wide variety of handgun optics.
While it has a definite Glock G19 look to it, the striker fired AA19 sports several upgraded features not found on its Austrian cousin, including a Vickers Tactical Carry Trigger, which comes standard. |

It is important for Americans to recognize—especially for those Americans who reside in New York City—that the City’s Mayor, Eric Adams, is no friend of the common man even as his image-makers project him out to be just that. Adams isn’t a cut above his predecessor, Bill de Blasio. Rather, he is cut from the same cloth even as he attempts, albeit half-heartedly, to hide that fact.

The Duke Center for Firearms Law recently published my new essay on "Guns, Property Rights, and Takings." My piece is part of a symposium on "Privatizing the Gun Debate." Several additional contributions will be posted in the near future. Here are some excerpts from my essay:
In recent years, some two dozen states have enacted laws requiring private property owners to allow employees, customers, and others to bring in guns or store them on their land and buildings.

Ever wonder who is controlling the gun control narrative? The narrative that flies in the face of common sense? To a great extent, it seems that it's researchers who manipulate data in an effort to make a point that can't legitimately be made. If you want the facts, the article linked below contains a short 16 minute video that you must watch - if you care about gun ownership, the Second amendment and Freedom in America.

The Georgia General Assembly adjourns tonight, and Senate Bill 259, a pro-Second Amendment package making a number of important changes for the benefit of law-abiding citizens, is still in the House awaiting a floor vote. SBl 259 removes the one-size-fits-all ban on carrying firearms for self-defense in places of worship, allowing private property owners to make such decisions regarding security on their own, allows for weapons carry license applications to be filed online and by mail, requires municipalities to auction unclaimed firearms, and prohibits the state and local governments from restricting Second Amendment rights during declared states of emergencies. |

Zeroing a rifle means adjusting the sights so your point of aim corresponds with your point of impact at a specific distance. The process is pretty simple but requires some forethought. At what distance do you want your point of aim and point of impact to intersect? It’s common to zero a hunting rifle at 100 yards, but depending on your gun and where you hunt, it might not be the best answer. Here are three sighting-in options based on anticipated shot distances. |

The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms today blasted President Joe Biden for shamelessly exploiting the tragic mass killing in Sacramento to further his gun prohibition agenda by calling for bans on so-called “ghost guns” and demanding background checks for all gun sales. Six people died and a dozen more were wounded in the attack, which occurred just after 2 a.m. Sunday. Two brothers, one of whom was injured, are now in custody. |

The history around the development of the .500 Nitro Express is not entirely clear. It first appeared in the United Kingdom in the late 19th century, where it evolved from the .500 Express case. The difference between the two is that black powder is loaded in the .500 Express, and cordite is loaded in the .500 Nitro Express.
The .500 Nitro Express was designed to be fired from the most common hunting rifles of the late 1800s and early 1900s, including single and double barrel rifles. Today this cartridge is for sale for double action and bolt action rifles made by some of the most excellent rifle makers in Europe – including Holland & Holland, Hambrusch and Rigby. |
