In spring 2000, 62 yr old grandmother with CCW gun saves citizens lives from knife attack in Flordia Walmart store.

Same story one year later in Kentucky Walmart no CCW citizen was present and eight citizens are stabbed before the attacker was stopped.

Hand gun control says Citzens with CCW only escalates the situation. How stupid are these liberal anti-gunners?

The case is being closely watched across the nation. It stems from the first and only appellate decision that allows a gun maker to be sued for the damage its product causes. Every federal and state court -- save the 1st District Court of Appeal in San Francisco -- has ruled that gun makers are immune from such suits. A ruling for the plaintiffs would break new legal ground.

The Million Mom group makes the outrageous accusation that Second Amendment supporters are so subhuman that they don't care about children's lives that they only love inanimate objects. The anti-gun lobby has that correlation exactly backwards. It's not that guns in the hands of more Americans cause crime. Quite the contrary, it's crime that causes more Americans to need guns.

To the extent that the Brady Act has frustrated gun sales by licensed dealers, the Act has worsened the problem of gun violence. Criminals who are not deterred by laws against armed robbery, rape, and murder will hardly be deterred by laws requiring background checks

In the fiscal 2002 budget Bush sent to Congress, he requested $49.78 million to provide grants to states to establish programs for increasing arrests and prosecution of gun offenders.

While opposing gun control, Bush has advocated "vigorously prosecute" of gun crimes and said it should be a priority to keep juveniles from obtaining guns.

You might question what this has to do with guns as the "accused" choked the victim with his bare hands until he went down. He did NOT use a gun. The accused walked into his home then returned to kick the body - maybe dead, maybe not quite dead yet. The point is that the accused is charged with manslaughter, one of the elements being "without malice." This is the flip side of accentuating the severity of gun crimes: reducing the severity of non-gun crimes. I see malice AND premeditation here.

On the first anniversary of the Million Mom March for stricter gun controls, groups on both sides of the debate will square off for a rematch in weekend events across New Jersey and the nation.
