A fully encapsulated base bullet (FEB) has just what the name implies – a base (usually lead) that is completely surrounded by another harder metal, such as copper. This type of bullet typically has good accuracy and is primarily for indoor shooting ranges. Some manufacturers call this "clean range" ammo, as they use the FEB bullet and a mercury-free primer to create an environmentally friendly bullet.

“I’ll hazard a guess that you’ve been across the pond and shot driven grouse,” I said to the dapper gentleman approaching me, who had been introduced as one of my teammates a bit earlier while sitting at a table with the rest of the team.
It wasn’t until he approached at full height that I noticed his dress — tweed, breeks, “wellies” and necktie. His attire was a replica of the photographs I had seen from field sports magazines and gun books from the British Isles.
“Yes,” he replied, “I have.”
I appreciate the traditions of cultures that occasionally make an appearance on shooting ranges or in the field. Last fall I told Christine that maybe I would start |

Friday’s slashing spree in the New York City subway underscores the need for immediate reform of city and state concealed carry laws so that honest citizens have the ability to fight back and defend themselves against such viciousness, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms said today.
“We know at least three people were violently attacked by several people,” said CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb. “Fortunately, nobody was killed, but this is a symptom of a larger problem in New York City, which is the perpetuation of a system that is designed to prevent average citizens from being able to resist such brutality.” |

Second Amendment-supporting Americans are used to Hollywood elites lecturing them on how best to exercise their rights, but as the calls grow louder, it’s important to listen so you can be prepared to call out their lies. Comedian Samantha Bee recently used her show to label the Second Amendment as “outdated and useless,” and deemed those who exercise this constitutional right as “fragile old men.” |

The first court test of whether local governments can ban police from enforcing certain gun laws is playing out in a rural Oregon county, one of a wave of U.S. counties declaring itself a Second Amendment sanctuary. The measure that voters in the logging area of Columbia County narrowly approved last year forbids local officials from enforcing most federal and state gun laws and could impose thousands of dollars in fines on those who try.

Some movies are instant classics for their acting, their direction, or their cinematography. Some movies, on the other hand, become cult classics based on the character in the film and the guns they use. While these movies certainly have good acting and direction, they became instant classics in part because of the guns and the main characters' affinity for them. While this list is in no way supposed to be comprehensive, it’s a great starting place for any serious gun connoisseur. In no specific order, let’s check out five classic movies and the guns that made them.

Appearances can be sometimes be deceiving. Scratching under a backyard bird feeder or dusting in a dirt driveway, the wild turkey may seem like little more than a very overgrown chicken. Pecking at his reflection in your chrome bumper or menacing pets and children, Old Tom might make you consider him dull-witted and a nuisance. Before you judge this book by its feathery cover, however, it would be wise to know a little more about this remarkable bird.

A gun that a man used to kill five people in January shootings in Chicago and a nearby suburb was used in as many five other shootings since 2009, according to a published report. The Chicago Tribune reported Saturday that documents released to the paper in response to an open records request revealed that shell casings and ballistic tests were used in the other shootings on the city's South Side that left five people injured, though none died.
