The theme is "Your Profit--Our Loss!"
"Our Mothers Day celebration is basically an 'Unwelcome Wagon' party. We are telling the NRA to go home, that both states of Kansas City do not want the gun lobby to profit off our children's lives." said Jane Girson, chapter organizer of the Johnson/Wyandotte County Kansas Million Mom March.
HYPOCRITES! THEY certainly don't mind profiting from our children's deaths. |

"intrusive and brazen actions by the FBI and Secret Service demonstrate that none of us -- particularly those in the independent and alternative news community -- are safe from the long arm of Big Brother. Have you heard about this case from any major news agency? Has CNN or the New York Times bothered to cover it? No."--Joseph Farah |

I believe this essay is a MUST READ for all freedom loving Patriots.
'What To Do If The Police Come To Confiscate Your Militia Weapons' was first published in the June, 1990 issue of DOWNRANGE, the official publication of the Maryland State Rifle & Pistol Association for which I served as Legislative Counsel. The supplement following my essay offers some practical suggestions that occurred to me since it was first published. By Howard J. Fezell, Esq. |

And what reason do they give? The Violence Policy Center (http://www.VPC.org) claims that the bill "Undermines and Weakens the Federal Brady Law"! Can you believe it?
They explain, "The bill would create a weaker background check at gun shows for unlicensed sellers"
(Although there are now no checks federally required for unlicensed sellers.)
They go on, "...when it comes to crafting gun control laws, simpler is better. This leaves less room for pro-gun advocates to exploit loopholes and undermine existing law," and state their support for a different piece of anti-gun legislation, S.767, the "Gun Show Background Check Act" (posted a few days back as an alert in our Newslinks section). |

Senator McCain has been promoting his new Bill to close the so-called "gun show loophole" as a kinder and gentler proposal that everyone can agree with. Well, here is the actual text of the Bill. Read it for yourself, and I think you'll find that there is nothing kind and gentle about it. -- For one thing, it imposes horrendous new paperwork requirements on gun show operators, and imposes up to a one-year prison sentence for any violation.
KABA NOTE: This bill has been referred to the Senate Committee on the Judiciary. Contact the committee members to OPPOSE this bill!
Also contact your U.S. Senators and tell them NOT to cosponsor and to OPPOSE this bill! |

"The governor has been besieged with calls from teachers troubled by the measure's cost and by a provision under which students in grades 7 to 12 could - if their school systems chose - handle rifles, shotguns, handguns or ammunition at shooting ranges."
~~If safety is an issue for our kids and the agenda of the gun control side, why is cost an issue?
KABA NOTE: The article also says "Teachers troubled by cost, provision for shooting range; 'Sending wrong message' ", which is the answer to G.'s question. Anti-gunners never have and never will be concerned with children's safety, or they wouldn't care about the cost, and they would applaud students learning gun safety. What disgusting hypocrites. |
