A report about activity on and around the mall in Washington from this past Mother's Day.
According to the MMM, America's military hardware is only used to bully the rest of the world.
Promoting civilian disarmament isn't enough, now the Million Marching Morons seem to feel that the military should lose some hardware too...

~Way to go, Ann Coulter!
"The problem with the professor's argument is that it's not "the appointments process" that uses "judicial means" to engage in ideological politics. Only the judiciary can use "judicial means" to do anything. The appointments process is just the appointments process. The way to keep politics out of the courts is to keep politics out of the courts. A good start would be for judges to issue rulings grounded in the Constitution rather than the latest ACLU circular." |

"The NRA, one of the most effective lobbying groups in Washington, was at its most active level of political activity during last year's election campaigns. Its leadership were outspoken in their support for the Bush-Cheney ticket. It was their highest priority. They, of course, got what they wanted."
~What kind of nonsense is Wolf Blitzer of CNN spewing? If the NRA always got what they wanted, then why was Clinton in the White House for 8 years? |

"Those who know Ulises Bertacco say the northwest Phoenix jewelry store owner would never just sit back and let somebody rob his store. He would protect himself with a gun. Five years ago, they pointed out, Bertacco shot and wounded a burglar attempting a smash-and-grab job."
KABA NOTE: This time though: "Bertacco, armed with his own gun, chased at least one person down the strip mall walkway. Witnesses said four or five gunshots rang out. At one point, Bertacco used a vehicle to shield himself from the shooter."
"Today's end result shows that chasing an armed robbery suspect can be a very dangerous course of action and should not be undertaken lightly." |

"Store owner says shooting-range ban may force such sales."
"Operators of the city's only gun store say that they might have to sell more cheap 'crime guns' to boost revenue, now that Glendale has banned shooting ranges."
"It's our preference not to carry crime guns. But one way to generate more income would be to increase the volume of cheaper handguns."
"The Common Council unanimously approved the ban on shooting ranges May 14."
That wouldn't fly here. |

Three deranged youths set a homeless man on fire in New York, killing him.
If you've ever had doubts whether or not 'media bias' is a reality, ask yourself why this terrible killing has drawn so little media attention, while school shootings with similar death tolls generate a frenzy of media reporting. If you have an objective bone in your body, this should be enough to convince you that media bias is real, and that it is grave menace to our freedom. |

The weapon, a Ruger semiautomatic 9mm handgun, was listed as stolen earlier by the BATF in Washington D.C.
~~Nobody wants to see tragedy like this, but is this the plan of not allowing guns in schools and churches?
KABA NOTE: Not only that, but the killer was under an order of protection. What kind of protection do these "orders" give, then? |

"The soldier who shot Reynolds, Pfc. Michael Lamere, was not qualified to be carrying the machine gun.
‘‘Everyone was talking about it,’’ Reynolds said. ‘‘I knew he wasn’t even supposed to be on that gun ... They needed to fill a slot, I guess, so that put him on it.’’
Reynolds said that assigning Lamere to the machine gun wasn’t just a single incident of oversight, as the Army contends. Reynolds said he, too, was not qualified on his weapon -- an M-4 rifle." |

"The Behavior Research Center, an independent polling firm based in Phoenix, said that 63% of Arizonans polled thought McCain was doing an exelent job in Congress. Among Republicans, 71% gave him a favorable rating."
KABA NOTE: Anyone here from Arizona been polled by them? The article doesn't say how many people they asked or any other significant stats regarding their "findings".
But if it IS true, then we see another reason why this country is in the mess it is. |

"If a Columbine-type tragedy unfolded today, the ability of police officers from different departments to talk to each other on their radios would be only marginally better than it was April 20, 1999. That issue -- along with suggestions for such things as "threat assessment teams" in area middle and high schools -- was among those addressed by the Columbine Review Commission, which issued its final report this week."
KABA NOTE: We repeat: Train and arm the teachers and school officials. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
You are bound to meet misfortune if you are unarmed because, among other reasons, people despise you....There is simply no comparison between a man who is armed and one who is not. It is unreasonable to expect that an armed man should obey one who is unarmed, or that an unarmed man should remain safe and secure when his servants are armed. In the latter case, there will be suspicion on the one hand and contempt on the other, making cooperation impossible. — Niccolo Machiavelli in "The Prince." |
