"If one questions the editors’ anti-gun agenda, this sequence of events removes all doubt. Whatever type of gun is being considered for prohibition, that is the type the editors declare is criminals’ 'weapon of choice.' "

NOTE:

One of the people executed was a woman. "...while she was on bail, she murdered an elderly man in his 80s, when the latter asked her to return his money, more than 17,000 yuan (about 2,050 US dollars). She knocked down the helpless old man with a liquor bottle and small iron balls and suffocated him with a washing towel."
------- Consider that private ownership of firearms in China does not exist. Then consider the fact that this woman somehow managed to kill this old man by using a simple liquor bottle and towel, proving once again that gun control is not a deterrent to murder. |

He's mad because the new Colorado state laws making concealed carry laws all over the state uniform so he can't pass his pet laws that in effect disarm all Denver residents other than government and security people and punish people who have carry permits in other counties if they're found carrying in Denver. He reluctantly instructed Denver Police to start issuing carry permits under the new law, while preparing his suit to have it declared unconstitutional. Funny he should use those grounds, considering the fact that his gun law is, itself, unconstitutional. What he's most afraid of is losing some of his power." |

If you're a Chase Manhattan Bank USA customer, you may want to reconsider and take your business elsewhere.
Dan Whinery of Dan's Guns And Ammo in Warren, IN recently applied for a Chase Business Credit Card and was turned down for the following reason and this is a direct quote from the letter the bank sent him:
We are prohibited from extending credit to businesses operating in your industry.
With about 80 million gun owners in America, we should be able to show this bank that they're making a big mistake discriminating against lawful, federally licensed firearms businesses. They're not comfortable with you exercising your Constitutional right to keep and bear arms. Their attack against the dealers and the industry is ultimately aimed at you, the American gun owner.

... "Maybe we should look back a few years ago at what happened in Texas, when a young lady went to be with her family in a restaurant, and left her carry gun locked in her car. A man started shooting people at will, she could only watch as he point blank, shot, and killed her mother, and father. A mistake she would never make again, but it was too late. Let's look at the sniper killings, these murders took place in states that are among the top leaders in gun control. Why! because the perpetrators knew that people on the street could not carry guns. What do you think might have happened if one law abiding person had had a concealed gun on his person or in his car! Our state patrol wants you to keep your weapon, unloaded, and locked up in your car! Now just what good is that to you or me! Politics! I would like the state patrol to furnish me with statistics, showing me how many times in the last 10 years, an honest law abiding citizen has pulled a loaded gun on an officer! There is nothing wrong with finger printing, I did that in the state I left. If you are afraid of it, you must have some thing to hide. There is nothing wrong with the time in the classroom or the firing range. In the classroom you will learn 1. The law 2. The law as for civil liability. 3. What the purpose of the carry weapon is. That is going to surprise a lot of you! On the range is to see if you can hit a silhouette target, and to teach you most gun fights take place with in a 6 ft. range. The question was asked, why should Ohio be any different than the other states? It shouldn't! But if it is going to be, let's make it in a positive way, and not be laughed at." |

"This report is not meant to frighten anyone into not visiting Las Vegas. In fact, many of the larger casinos hire former federal law enforcement officials to head security. But most of that security is focused inside the casinos, where shady characters continue their endless quest to disprove the notion that 'the house always wins'. Some casinos have taken it upon themselves to stop vehicles before they reach valet service or target range, question the passengers, and take a quick peek inside before letting them get too close. This is helpful, but the recent attacks in Saudi Arabia prove that unless security personnel are prepared to shoot-to-kill upon sight of a 'no-goodnik', their presence is moot. Of course, we wouldn't want anyone accidentally shooting customers, either." |

"When it comes to guns, politicians are figuring out what clay pigeons have known for a long time: it's safer to be a moving target. So it is that President Bush can win points with gun-control groups by sticking to his campaign promise to sign an extension on the assault-weapons ban when it expires next year, while House majority leader Tom DeLay can make the gun lobby happy by suggesting, as he did last week, that no such bill will ever reach Bush's desk. And Democrats can fuss and fume over how Bush and the Republicans are trying to have it both ways — while quietly breathing a sigh of relief at being spared a vote that would expose the party's own divisions on the issue."
"The pantomime will continue, for behind it lies a new reality: two years into the Bush Administration, the gun lobby is on a winning streak. Bill Clinton muscled through the most significant new gun laws in 30 years, including the 1994 assault-weapons ban and the 1993 Brady Law, requiring background checks for gun buyers. But gun groups got some revenge in the 2000 election, when they were credited with costing Al Gore at least three states, including his home, Tennessee." |

"If our Constitution guarantees us the right to keep and bear arms, why do we even need a concealed weapons law? It's just one more example of how politicians use smoke and mirrors to trick everyone into believing what they want them to."
"In this case it is the Republicans of Missouri spreading the word that they are fighting for the right of Missouri residents to carry concealed weapons. The reality is, when one looks at the 'provisions' of this legislation, the typical Missouri resident will have no more real gun rights after the legislation is passed than before it was passed. Remember there is a loophole that allows local law enforcement to deny anyone a permit who might be suspected of 'negative behavior.' And who's to say that later on the majority of the state could be legislated into one big 'No-Safe Zone' rendering the concealed weapons legislation useless?" |
