#3 buckshot features around 20 pellets in the average shot shell, and offers an effective range of over 30 yards (if shells are patterned and the choke is adjusted accordingly). Sold mainly as ammunition for deer, #3 buck ammo also has a great reputation for large game birds, predators, and home defense. |

A federal judge has blocked the Biden administration from enforcing a new rule in Texas that would require firearms dealers to run background checks on buyers at gun shows or other places outside brick-and-mortar stores. The decision by U.S. District Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk, an appointee of former President Donald Trump, came before the rule had been set to take effect Monday. The order also prevents the federal government from enforcing the rule against several gun-rights groups, including Gun Owners of America. It does not apply to Louisiana, Mississippi and Utah, which were also part of the lawsuit. |

Some of the immediate feedback we got when interviewing CZ's CEO recently was gripes that we didn't grill him about the company's lack of optics-ready models. There's a reason for that: they were already in the works. We managed to get the lowdown on the new line at the 2024 NRA Annual Meetings in Dallas. The new guns include OR models of the CZ subsidiary Dan Wesson's DWX, DWX Compact, Kodiak, Bruin, and Specialist, with more "on the way." |
