Gun owners have become accustomed to the typical types of gun grabs anti-gun politicians have rolled out in recent years. Assault weapons bans, universal background checks, and magazine bans are some of the usual proposals thrown our way. Second Amendment advocates have naturally built a strong opposition to these efforts and have generally made the gun control crowd break a sweat each time they try to advance such bills. |

“The constitution wasn’t put on hold because of the coronavirus.”
So spoke Alan Gottlieb, founder and executive vice president of the Second Amendment Foundation as he encouraged law enforcement agencies around the country to resume taking applications for concealed carry permits and licenses. It could be considered “friendly advice” or a subtle warning, since SAF has been involved in two federal lawsuits in recent weeks—one in North Carolina and the other in Georgia—were gun permits were the central issue. |

Has the time come for massive civil disobedience as the public has grown weary—and wary—of the continued shutdowns and, in states such as Washington, a reopening process that is moving along at a snail’s pace while some critics accuse public officials of moving the goal posts?
That seems to be what Fox News judicial analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano suggested Wednesday, according to RealClearPolitics. |

Winchester and the Browning Arms Company joined forces in 2001 to develop the 7mm Winchester Short Magnum (WSM) cartridge. The 7mm WSM was developed for hunting medium- and large-sized game at ranges out to 700 yards, providing a powerful cartridge that hunters can use in many different hunting situations. While it's not recommended for taking dangerous game or predators, it does have excellent performance with all game animals in North America – including elk, deer and most others. Shooting authorities have indicated that the proper bullet must be selected for this cartridge, because the wrong one will not expand sufficiently on deer-sized game. |

The Boston Globe ran an editorial in support of the Democrats’ latest gun control push and bolstered their position by suggesting gun kit sales “seem to be on the rise.” The Globe is backing Sen. Richard Blumenthal’s (D-CT) push for new regulations on “ghost guns” and the gun kits from which such guns are built. Breitbart News reported Blumenthal’s claim that such guns are “untraceable,” yet he also claimed to know there are currently elevated sales of such guns.

America is first and foremost a Christian Nation. This isn’t hypothesis, or hyperbole, or manifestation of hysteria. It is fact. This fact is the backbone and linchpin of our Constitution. It is the foundation of our natural rights; rights bestowed on man by a loving, Divine Creator. It is a self-evident truth.

I will never forget my first time turkey hunting. It was April 25. I woke up at 4:30 a.m. My dad and I drove to Brant. When we got there, we got dressed and started the 10-minute walk to the blind. Once we got settled, the wait began. I did not expect to hear anything, but within 10 minutes we started hearing the gobbling. The gobbling started to get louder and louder, so we started to call. |

The Remington 7600 took runner-up honors among the most popular pump-action rifles on Gunbroker.com last year, dropping from its first-place position in 2018. Ironically, the top position for 2019 was claimed by another Remington that hasn’t been produced since 1936, the Remington Model 12. It’s a rimfire, however, and the 7600 is a centerfire that’s proven popular with hunters. |

If you watch YouTube, a lot of firearms trainers and YouTube gun channel personalities are wearing body armor. A number of instructors have advocated in print that the armed citizen should have it as well. Since the civilian market for guns and other gear mirrors or otherwise takes inspiration from trends in the military and law enforcement equipment, it stands to reason that if cops and soldiers wear body armor to save their lives, we should too. |

“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.” ~ Martin Luther King Jr., Letter from the Birmingham Jail; often miscited in abbreviated form as: “Justice delayed is justice denied.” Various renditions of the quotation have come down through the ages, recited by many learned and famous men. The origin of the quotation likely came from William Penn (1644 to 1718), who asserted, “To delay Justice is injustice.”

Scott Kane went 38 years without ever touching a gun. That streak would have continued had it not been for the coronavirus. In March, fearful of the harassment his wife and child experienced over their Asian ancestry, Kane found himself in a California gun shop. His March 11 purchase of a 9mm would have been the end of the story, were it not for a political standoff over shutdown orders and background checks. Now Kane, a former supporter of gun-control measures and AR-15 bans, is frustrated by the arduous process that has denied his family a sense of security. |

Uberti, with its Model 1885 Courteney Stalking Rifle, proves that a new-for-2020 rifle can reflect classic design, in the classic .303 British chambering no less, and still be noteworthy. Calling a 135-year-old design “new for 2020” is bound to raise some hackles, but this Model 1885 from Uberti is a novel offering from a company known for making reproduction firearms. This rifle in particular is designed to honor the life of F. Courteney Selous, a famed British explorer, military officer, big-game hunter and conservationist of the late 19th century.

The bird came in slowly and reluctantly, not with the reckless abandon more characteristic of a youngster. He hung up at 75 yards and would gobble and strut each time I called, but that distance seemed to be his line in the sand and for a long time he would come no closer. In the tall grass of late season I could only make out his upper half, just enough to see he sported a beard of some length, and the full, uninterrupted fan of an adult male.
