Our heads are buried in our tiny screens for hours every day. Many of us think our electronic view of the world is more real than what we and our friends see with our own eyes and hear with our own ears.
The saying from the health food industry is that we are what we eat. I worry that we have swallowed too many lies. |

Police say when Mejia realized three men were trying to steal the tires and rims of his car parked near his home on Jericho Turnpike, he grabbed a large kitchen knife.
They saw him coming and ran to their car.
Mejia caught the last one getting in, Luis Pena, 22, and stabbed him multiple times in the back, killing him.
Mejia’s arrest is again stirring the debate over self-defense. |

A federal judge rejected a challenge to the government’s ability to disarm defendants as part of their criminal sentences, one of the first decisions to uphold the constitutionality of a gun ban for people on probation for misdemeanors since a watershed Supreme Court decision last year set a new test to evaluate such limits.
Chief U.S. District Judge James E. Boasberg in Washington issued the ruling temporarily barring gun possession by Daniel Shaw, a Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack defendant who pleaded guilty last November to one count of parading, demonstrating, or picketing. |

Nu-Nazis believe that America has never been forced to submit or been conquered because we retain the 2nd Amendment Right of self-protection (even outside the context of a well-regulated militia) which shall never be abridged. except for when terrorists in White sheets assaulted and murdered their fellow Americans with Lynch Mobs, or when the West was “Won” (Stolen) away from our 1st American Nations with Geronimo at Skeleton Canyon, Arizona, and Americans of Japanese descent had their property taken from them and were rounded up into camps.

Population growth has meant more encounters with people and livestock, however, with the bears often on the losing end. Hunters sometimes mistake grizzlies for legal-to-hunt black bears or kill grizzlies in self-defense — and wildlife managers often kill grizzlies that prey on cattle and sheep.
Such deaths have been increasingly common in the Green River headwaters in the Wind River Range, where in 2019 the U.S. Forest Service granted a 10-year extension allowing almost 9,000 cattle to graze on 270 square miles of Bridger-Teton National Forest. |

But legislatures, subject to judicial review, should be free to distinguish between the sorts of guns that are suitable for self-defense and those which exceed the requirements of self-defense, and which are regularly used to spread terror and anguish throughout the land.
In 2013, Colorado banned ammunition-feeding devices over 15 rounds. In 2020, Rocky Mountain Gun Owners challenged that regulation, but the Colorado Supreme Court upheld it. “The overwhelming evidence demonstrated that limiting magazine capacity to 15 rounds does not significantly interfere with the core of Coloradans’ … rights to bear arms in self-defense,” the justices wrote. |

People who report being diagnosed with a behavioral, emotional or mental disorder can no longer be prevented from registering a firearm in the City and County of Honolulu, a federal judge ruled Wednesday.
U.S. District Court Judge Derrick Watson made permanent a preliminary injunction he issued in November, which ruled that the Honolulu Police Department could not bar a U.S. Navy officer from registering firearms because he reported seeking counseling for feeling homesick and depressed on the registration form.
The HPD can also no longer require an applicant for a firearm permit to provide written certification from a psychiatrist, psychologist or doctor. |

Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes filed a joint amicus brief alongside 21 other attorneys general to support the federal government's prohibition of handguns and ammunition to those 21 and older.
The attorneys general filed with the U.S. Court of Appeals 5th Circuit. The amicus brief is written "on the merits," making arguments on how the Court should have ruled on a case it already agreed to hear. The coalition argues that the Second Amendment allows for governmental regulations, such as the federal age requirement to purchase handguns and ammunition. |

Ashley Singleton never thought of herself an activist until a gun store opened next to her son’s elementary school.
While the nondescript brick storefront was under construction, she passed it twice a day in the school car line. She’d assumed it might be a doctor’s office; it looked like many other small businesses in Madison, a middle-class suburb in North Alabama known mostly for its good schools and proximity to the city of Huntsville, a tech hub that’s become the state’s fastest growing metro.
But one morning in the school drop-off line, Singleton saw the business had a new sign: Rocket City Armory. |

Apparently tired of spouting the same gun-control nonsense into a microphone again and again, President Joe Biden (D) has taken to the printed word, allegedly penning a USA Today op-ed published last week in which the newspaper listed him as an “opinion contributor.”
Who really wrote the op-ed is uncertain, but one thing’s for sure: It certainly reads like the same person writing the same, tired stuff that his speeches have included ever since Biden took office in 2021. |

In just three months, lawmakers are scheduled to return to the Tennessee State Capitol for a special session on guns and public safety. But now, Governor Bill Lee is getting heat from members of his own party to cancel it all together.
The letter, penned by Freshman Rep. Bryan Richey (R-Maryville) originally featured four Republicans that signed on — including embattled Rep. Todd Warner of Chapel Hill, who was the target of an FBI raid in connection with former Speaker Glen Casada and his Chief of Staff Cade Cothren, Sen. Janice Bowling of Gallatin and freshman Rep. Ed Butler of Rickman. |

A bill introduced this week in the Alabama Legislature would ban the enforcement of a potential federal "red flag" law.
"Red flag" laws, known as emergency risk protection orders, have been passed in 19 states and the District of Columbia and allow a judge to issue an order to confiscate a citizen’s firearms if they are suspected of being an immediate threat to themselves or others. |

The authors purported to study 5,813 youths ages 10-19, who died from “assault-related firearms injury,” but when they disclosed the source of their data – despite Dr. Nehra’s impressive credentials and those of the other researchers – it becomes clear that the entire story is nothing but a scam.
“This national cross-sectional study used the Gun Violence Archive to identify all assault-related firearm deaths among youths aged 10 to 19 years occurring in the US between January 1, 2020, and June 30, 2022,” the story admits. |

In the past, the firearm industry did not quite know what to do with women who shoot competitively or for self-defense. On top of that, there weren’t nearly as many women carrying firearms. It is apparent the number of women who carry has increased rapidly and we need products that are durable, fit our bodies and if companies could throw in something pretty, that’s fine as well. No matter what, it’s plain to see that women are increasingly more serious about firearms. |

The conclusion of the May 23 letter “Gun solution is pretty simple” is simple, yes, but impossible.
The idea of getting rid of something to solve a problem is just too easy and oversimplified. We simply get rid of guns, and we will not have a gun problem. We simply get rid of drugs, and we will not have drug problems. We simply get rid of criminals, and we will not have crime problems. It is not the idea that is important. It is the implementation that is important. |

During the 19th century, firearms improved more than in any other century. As of 1800, most firearms were single-shot muzzleloading blackpowder flintlocks. By end of the century, semiautomatic pistols using detachable magazines with modern gunpowder and metallic cartridges were available. Would the Founders be surprised by the improvements in ability to exercise Second Amendment rights? Perhaps not, given the tremendous advances in firearms that had taken place before 1791. And certainly not, given that James Madison, author of the Second Amendment, initiated a federal government industrial with the specific aim of vastly improving the quality and quantity of firearms manufacture. |
