14 South Pacific countries are considering new laws to control the use, possession, & trafficking of small arms. The new proposals were approved at a recent meeting of police and customs officials from Australia, Japan, United States, New Zealand, & the South Pacific.
"What we are questioning is the fact that in recent years there are so many internal wars and regional wars where mostly small arms are used and not major tanks or fighter planes."--UN negotiator Mitsuro Donowaki |

"A 21st Century American cannot wake up early, walk outside his/her home, take a breath of fresh air, greet his or her neighbor and say "I love America," nor would they want to.
We do not live in America and the aforementioned person is not a patriot. The year is 2001. The city: Anywhere, U.S.A. ..." by Jon Airheart |

The glad tidings, that the once mighty Smith & Wesson has been sold by its English owners for a garage sale fraction of its book value to an Arizona company with five employees, should be savored by anyone who cares about the Second Amendment.
Still, the fight isn't quite over. The Arizona company is owned by a former S&W executive, apparently its speciality is "safety" systems for personal weapons -- gun safes and gun locks -- and there is now talk of its continuing the threatened development of so-called "smart" guns. --L. Neil Smith |

"You can't fathom the mental condition Gil was in with all the injuries he had," Stewart said. "The only person he could have hurt was himself."
~~~~ Gil was able to take the cop's gun and shoot him twice in the leg.
It would have been a good idea to wait for backup. The man had a fractured skull and probably was not thinking right.
Cole, then 17, admits he was "hot-tempered," and when a teacher told him to move the car, Cole pushed him down. He was labeled a felon, served jail time and ultimately missed about three months of his senior year. ~~~~ Push someone and lose your gun rights for life. At least they let him graduate high school. |
