Already, state Democrats have crafted and passed measures dealing with extreme risk protection orders, safe storage laws and universal background checks for the sale of all firearms in Michigan. |

The First World War introduced a wide range of military technologies that we take for granted today. Probably the most important of these deadly innovations was the marriage of the aircraft and the machine gun. Beginning with particularly crude modifications and lash-ups, combat aviators on both sides rapidly advanced the effectiveness of the firearms of the first air war. In April 1917, the month that the United States entered World War I, the air war had progressed to such a level that the Royal Flying Corps labeled it “Bloody April,” losing 245 aircraft and more than 400 airmen. |

According to a report in The Hill, the newly-released NPR-PBS NewsHour-Marist poll shows the highest preference for gun control over gun rights in the past ten years. Shockingly, 40 percent of people who own guns “report feeling the same,” The Hill said.

The state Senate has approved legislation by Sen. Catherine Blakespear of Encinitas that would require all semiautomatic pistols sold in California to use microstamping technology beginning in July 2027. The new technology uses a special firing pin to stamp a unique identifier on a cartridge as the trigger is pulled. It’s intended to help law enforcement identify the source of a gun used in a crime. |

Judge Clare J. Quish issued the seven-page ruling in the city’s lawsuit against Westforth Sports, Inc., of Gary, a city about ten miles away from Chicago, but in the neighboring state. The 300 AAC Blackout and 308 Winchester are both 30-caliber rifle cartridges that shoot a .308” diameter bullet. However, this is where the similarities end as both cartridges have a different intended purpose.
In this caliber comparison article, we are going to take a detailed look at both the 300 AAC Blackout and the 308 Winchester. Unlike previous articles, I won’t “crown a winner” because the difference between 308 vs 300 Blackout is comparing apples to oranges. |

Apparently tired of spouting the same gun-control nonsense into a microphone again and again, President Joe Biden (D) has taken to the printed word, allegedly penning a USA Today op-ed published last week in which the newspaper listed him as an “opinion contributor.” Who really wrote the op-ed is uncertain, but one thing’s for sure: It certainly reads like the same person writing the same, tired stuff that his speeches have included ever since Biden took office in 2021.

One of the recent trends in the firearm world is pistols that are designed for use by people who may not be in prime physical condition. Features commonly found on these typically compact models include slides that are easy to move back and forth and triggers that are shorter and lighter than what are commonly found on today’s striker-fired offerings.
