In fact, prior to the arrival of the Spanish, this was where the Aztec ruling class made their home during the dog days of summer. |

It’s always frustrating to see a case surrounding a man who’s clearly innocent — in this particular matter, simply acting on self-defense. Daniel Scott Perry was a former U.S. Army sergeant working as an Uber driver back in July 2020. As he was working the streets of Austin, a Black Lives Matter mob surrounded him suddenly, rushing “to obstruct, strike, pound, smash and kick his vehicle,” according to reports. |

Recently, a vote in the House of Representatives granted police officers nationwide concealed carry privileges. The vote resulted in 221 to 185 for the new government-issued privilege. The bill is called H.R. 354 Law Enforcement Officer Safety Act “LOESA Reform Act of 2024.” |

Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach filed a lawsuit on behalf of 21 states opposing an ATF rule that would prevent law-abiding Americans from privately selling firearms. “Biden’s latest attempt to strip away the Second Amendment rights of Americans through ATF regulations will make many law-abiding gun owners felons if they sell a firearm or two to family or friends,” Kobach said. “This rule is blatantly unconstitutional. We are suing to defend the Second Amendment rights of all Americans.” |

Wyoming-based Weatherby continues to grow its staple Vanguard bolt-action hunting rifle line and brought two new models to the recent 2024 NRA Annual Meetings in Dallas. Like all Vanguards, both of the new models have a sub-MOA guarantee for a three-shot group fired through a cold barrel, a three-position safety, cold hammer-forged barrel, integrated recoil lug, one-piece fluted bolt body, an M16-style extractor, and a user-adjustable two-position match-grade trigger.
