The Anti-Defamation League has begun looking into the tactics of a gun-rights group that started in Colorado and has spread to 17 other states.
Tyranny Response Team founder Bob Glass, who owns a Longmont gun shop, said he believes his organization is being targeted by the ADL because its officials simply don't agree with his views.
KABA NOTE: They should examine the anti-gunners' "tactics", and their own, first. |

Civil-liberties advocates are fighting to keep police agencies from seizing and selling the assets of suspects -- and even third parties -- before they are convicted in drug cases.
The initiative also would funnel proceeds from property forfeitures to education and drug-treatment programs, ending a practice that has let police pay for much of their operations from the sale of the property they seize. |

The Violence Policy Center (VPC) today released Hispanics and Firearms Violence, a comprehensive overview of the effects of gun violence on Hispanic communities on both the national and regional levels.
In California, in 1998, handguns were used in 70% of all Hispanic homicides. In Texas, in 1998, nearly 15% of Hispanic gun homicide victims were 18 years of age or younger.
--NOTE: Gangbangers Included!
KABA NOTE: VPC also goes on to mention something suprising (that they admitted it) -- in areas where the citizens were legally able to have guns, crime was LESS. |

A suburb bearing the scars of everyday crime is fertile ground for the politics of protest, Paul Sheehan writes.
To see why One Nation continues to attract a following in Sydney despite the endless blow-ups surrounding Pauline Hanson, one only needs to walk through Sefton shopping centre.
What's left of it.
Store after store sits shuttered. One block of shops is completely closed except for a locksmith, which does a healthy trade. |

In a revealing admission from the gun industry, a Wisconsin gun store owner has threatened to sell "crime guns" to increase profits.
"Gun sellers usually contend that there is no such thing as a crime gun -- that all guns can be used to commit crime. This admission is important because it establishes that gun sellers are keenly aware that they can easily sell guns to criminals. Gun sellers know what guns are favored by criminals and how to market those guns to criminals."--say the anti-gun wackos |

Police stacked handguns, rifles, shotguns, and carbines on a table on Wednesday and boasted that the cache had cost the county only $15,570. Morris County Sheriff's Department Lt. Paul Carifi said all had belonged to "law-abiding people."
"In many cases," said Carifi, "they were in the possession of widows who didn't know what to do with their late husbands' collections. They had been sitting around in attics for years, and people were not sure how to secure them." ~~By JOHN CICHOWSKI |

William Stephenson will start moving from Toledo to a temporary apartment near Bowling Green this weekend. The Wood County public defender isn’t happy with gun laws approved by Toledo city council in the last few years. The most recent one, aimed at eliminating the resale or trade of certain semiautomatic weapons in the city, is the primary reason Mr. Stephenson decided to build a house in Wood County.
"It’s basically petty harassment of law-abiding gun owners," he said. ~~BY CHRISTINA HALL |

The idea is to give illegals "safety packets" for their trip. Each will contain food, water, medicine, simple surgical tools and bandages, and a month's supply each of birth control pills and condoms.
They'll also get a list of Ca. health clinics that give treatment without requiring a Social Security number! In addition, each person with active Tuberculosis will be given a record of their treatment so it can continue in this country – courtesy of taxpayers, thank you very much! |
