A new exhibit at Fort Ticonderoga tells the story of the tourist attraction's historic cannon collection, considered one of the most extensive in North America. The collection of more than 180 big guns is the focus of "The Last Argument of Kings: The Art and Science of 18th-century Artillery," a two-year exhibit that opened when the fort's 2016 season began May 7. |

Though not a person who would be considered a stranger to guns, Patricia Harrold of Papillion didn’t think much about them before her husband’s death in 2012. Having served in the Air Force, she’d been instructed on the branch’s service pistol and rifle. That training did not, however, foster an ongoing interest in guns and shooting. |

So she wasn’t able to shoot in Saturday’s competition, but she hoped to use her muzzle-loading handgun Sunday and defend the Nebraska State Women’s Champion title that she received in 2015, a title which earned her the distinctive name. |

A per-bullet tax on ammunition set to take effect in June in Cook County is expected to provide over $300,000 in new revenue a year, but the tax faces serious opposition at the state level. “The gun tax is nothing more than a modern day poll tax against the poor,” John Boch, executive director of the pro-gun Guns Save Life group told Illinois Business Daily in an email. “Gun control is racist, classist and sexist--we don't support those things.” |

As a token of good faith, Austin gave Johnson a replica of George Washington’s flintlock pistol, to let him know that he has Austin’s full support in the general election. Tearing up on the front stage of the convention floor, Austin said to Gary as he presented him with the pistol, “You have my sword, and you have my gun.”
Hours later, a number of delegates were reporting on social media that Johnson was seen tossing Austin’s pistol in the garbage. A husband and wife witnessed Johnson throwing out the pistol and retrieved it from the garbage. The pistol has since been returned to Austin Petersen and remains in his possession. |

"[T]he third-party Libertarian ticket has a rare chance this year to be more than a footnote in the presidential race."
Not for anyone who doesn't want to ensure an unchallengeable pathway to citizenship Democrat supermajority within just a few years, with all that means for passing and upholding "gun laws."
And not for anyone who doesn't want to put a demonstrable gun-grabber a heartbeat from the presidency.
Ed.: Johnson supports current gun control laws, and Weld has banned guns. |

When someone says “NRA,” most people immediately think of the National Rifle Association. But there is another NRA here in Washington: the National Restaurant Association. Both are powerful lobbies, protecting their members from government overreach, and defending personal freedoms from the right to bear arms to the right to eat whatever your arms can hold. |

Guns are a topic of controversy around the world. So when someone creates a fully functional firearm that is easy to conceal and looks almost like a toy, we cannot help but feel quite nervous. It is up to you to decide how unsafe this new firearm is considering how easily obtainable other firearms are in certain parts of the world (America). Some may feel that their safety is at risk from this gun, which only packs a tenth the firepower of some airguns, while others may laugh at this squeak of a gun. |
