Here's a bizzare twist on "Zero-Tolerance"...

"A 13-year-old boy arrested when he tried to bring a gun to Conway Middle School last month is too dangerous to return to school, Orange County school officials said Friday, but cannot be expelled because he's an exceptional education student and protected by federal law."

In exchange for the donation, the gun club is asking the BLM to give the club clear title to the rest of the land, and the nuisance lawsuit would be dropped.

"The U.S. attorney better defeat me, because if they don't, they will be working in Yeehaw Junction," Traficant said in response to a 10-count indictment handed down Friday by a grand jury in Cleveland. "I will challenge them in court. I will represent myself."

Trafficant may be a Democrat, but he has certainly been vocal against the federal government, even going so far -- in the past -- to defy some of their moves. At this point, he'd be better to have around than McCain.

"Novelist Gore Vidal plans to attend the execution of Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh, a man with whom he shares some views about the federal government."

“We’ve exchanged several letters,” the author said. “He’s very intelligent. He’s not insane.”

"But the 75-year-old writer said he and McVeigh, 33, have similar views about the erosion of constitutional rights and about the federal government’s 1993 raid on the Branch Davidian compound near Waco, Texas, that left 80 people dead."

The European Court of Human Rights said Britain violated Europe's human rights convention and awarded each of the victim's families $14,350 in damages and up to $43,000 in legal costs.

((((((Sounds like the lawyers will make three times more than the victims' families.))))))

"The people responsible should be held accountable," said Mark Thompson of Relatives for Justice. "They should be charged with murder."

(((((((Good luck)))))))

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small, complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd. — Alexis de Tocqueville
