It's not known if the shots were directed at the burglars."

A new Kansas gun law received a symbolic no-confidence vote from the Prairie Village Legislative and Finance Committee on Monday. The committee voted against changing a municipal ordinance to conform with a state law that further permits people to carry firearms.
