There’s something deliciously nostalgic about lever-action rifles. They have an aura and mystique about them, especially when you use one as a hunting rifle. It’s as though you’ve been transported back to another time, a simpler time when the big game freely roamed the forests and Great Plains of North America. |

When it comes to the AR-15 semi-automatic rifle, there is no denying that the 223 Remington and 5.56x45mm NATO are the kings of the centerfire cartridges. As it is the standard issue ammo for the U.S. military and an incredibly potent varmint round, the 5.56/223 Rem is by far the most popular centerfire rifle cartridge in North America. |

In terms of an individual’s right to keep and bear arms, Delaware has never been as bad as some of its neighbors, especially New Jersey.
Delawareans can own Modern Sporting Rifles with standard-capacity magazines. They can apply for concealed-carry permits, and most are granted even though it’s a may-issue state. Delaware is small – only three counties.

The King County, Washington Council is considering a program “that allows anyone with unwanted firearms or ammunition to turn those items in to any King County Sheriff’s Office precinct or a storefront operated by the agency,” despite a mountain of evidence that such programs do not reduce violent crime.
According to KIRO-TV and Yahoo news, the proposal “currently has the support of 4 out of 9 county councilmembers.” The Council is predominantly Democrat, and King County Executive Dow Constantine is a liberal anti-gun Democrat.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has introduced new legislation to prohibit Canadians from buying, selling, transferring, or importing handguns. The legislation, Bill C-21, was introduced by Trudeau on Monday, May 30, at a press conference. At that time, the prime minister stated that, “Other than using firearms for sport shooting and hunting, there is no reason anyone in Canada should need guns in their everyday lives. We need less gun violence. … This is about freedom. People should be free to go to the supermarket, their school or their place of worship without fear.” |

The View co-host Joy Behar, one of the dumber primates ever to tread the planet, recently opined on AR-15s and those evil gun- and God-loving Republicans. Lindsey Granger, another co-host (The View has too many to count), was attempting to give some balance and perspective on the issue by telling a story about a man in Connecticut who built his own AR-15 because, ironically, the Constitution State doesn't allow people to buy them. |

Anti-gun politicians in Providence moved one step closer to adopting the most drastic gun ban in Rhode Island history. The House of Representatives, after hours of debate, passed a trio of gun bills. The following bills were passed late Friday night: H.6614 by Rep. Justine Caldwell is a magazine ban. The bill is drastic with no grandfathering and forces gun owners to get rid of any magazines capable of holding over 10 rounds or become a felon and lose your firearms for life. Because many handguns do not have standard magazines below the arbitrary limit created by this legislation, these guns essentially would become obsolete.
