"Wherever there is a self-righteous mob, be it formed in the street or convened on Capitol Hill, there is a plot to rape Lady Liberty. When you hear the murmur of "collective rights" you will know that a thief is among you that seeks to steal her virtue, and you will know that fragile freedom is in peril. When it is decided that individual rights must be sacrificed for the good of the group, freedom begins to wane and it becomes only a matter of time until we suffer from the sickness of slavery." |

"Bye< Bye 6 & 8 & .. The Constitution & The Bill Of Rights are being "poetically" burned before our eyes unabated. Add that to Aaron Zelman & Jay Simkin's proving that the 1968 Gun Control Act, on which current gun laws are based on, is a near verbatim copy of the 1938 Nazi Weapons Law. From R. Stitch's "Drugging America, A Trojan Horse" pg. 146 we find the document references for validating the CIA/FBI's funding, equipping, & training 1st('93) WTC bombers. Maybe I worry too much." |

"Defense attorneys in the past two weeks have filed about 30 motions in D.C. Superior Court asking judges to dismiss gun-carrying charges against their clients based on the Bush administration's assertion that the Second Amendment gives them the right to bear arms.
But judges so far have been turning aside these pretrial motions -- three rejections to date -- and are saying a 15-year-old D.C. Court of Appeals decision upholding the District's gun ownership ban is a binding local precedent." |

Thanks to the state Legislature, some of New York's safest hunters are barred from pursuing deer with firearms.
During their recent budget deliberations, senators and assembly members approved the Department of Environmental Conservation's entire license-fee package - except for the part that would have authorized 14- and 15-year-olds to go afield with their parents or legal guardians during the regular firearms season. |

"I believe I am the Violence Policy Center representative to whom John Lott referred in his June 6 op-ed, "On guns, Ed Rendell can't seem to shoot straight."
In his piece, Lott presents a completely fabricated interaction between myself and Ed Rendell at a panel discussion we both participated in at the Philadelphia Bar Association in 1999 (contrary to Lott's assertion, I was the only VPC staff person present at the event)."

"Attorneys for Mayor Daley urged the state appeals court Wednesday to review an Ohio legal decision they think bodes well for a lawsuit Chicago and Cook County filed against the gun industry in 1998.
The Ohio Supreme Court reinstated a lawsuit Cincinnati filed against gun makers to recoup the cost of gun-related violence. Chicago's $433 million suit had accused the gun industry of creating a "public nuisance," the same legal strategy in the Cincinnati case." |

"Japanese tourists have discovered that Thai holidays can be about more than just cheap shopping and snoozing on tropical beaches with shooting guns at Thai military ranges becoming the latest fad.
“There are so many Japanese tourists coming to Bangkok – if they want to do some shooting and some sightseeing, then that’s the Thai military’s business,” said Akiro Shimura, a former colonel in Japan’s Self-Defence Forces who runs a company offering trips to the ranges." |

"A convicted felon who argued that the Utah Constitution gives him the right to possess -- but not use -- a gun seemed to elicit skepticism Wednesday from Utah Court of Appeals judges. Wade L. Willis is asking the court to overturn his conviction on a felony charge of firearms possession by a restricted person. He claims the statute outlawing gun ownership by felons violates the Constitution's broad guarantee of the right to keep and bear arms." |

"The U.S. government's ruling that commercial airplane pilots will not be allowed to carry firearms in the cockpit may quiet for now the pilots' demands to be able do so.
But it likely isn't the end of the issue.
Not only have the pilots been pushing to carry guns in light of terrorist attacks and threats, but the Association of Flight Attendants also has suggested that its 50,000 members have access to nonlethal weapons such as stun guns, also known as tasers." |

"Would you allow him to hurt you? Your children?
Or would you shoot the bastard dead?
I know this is easier said than done. Taking a human life should never be a light matter, but when your life and the lives of your children are at stake, the choice becomes clear. That’s the choice Angela Dodson of Frederick County, Virginia faced last night. As far as I’m concerned – in this situation in which no person should ever find themselves – she made the right choice." |

"If you pay attention to news about the "War on Terrorism," you may be a bit confused about what our government is doing.
One day Mr. Macho tells us we're at war and we must put up with the intrusions of liberty that normally accompany war.
The next day we're told this "struggle" may last beyond our lifetimes (or at least until after Nov. 2, 2004). But wars usually come to an end. So this must not be a war."

"Unlike Michigan Democrat John D. Dingell, Rep. Robert L. Ehrlich Jr. doesn't hunt or even own a gun. Unlike Georgia Republican Robert L. Barr Jr., Ehrlich has not introduced gun legislation. And unlike Texas Republican Ron Paul, Ehrlich has not put the rights of gun owners at the top of his agenda." |
