"[Justice] Cummings ruled in favor of Timothy Joe Emerson, a doctor in the midst of a messy divorce, who had been charged with violating a restraining order banning gun possession. Cummings ruled that the statute prohibiting him from having a gun was unconstitutional on Second Amendment grounds.
In doing so, Judge Cummings purposefully ignored more than 60 years of clear precedent on the meaning of the Second Amendment in federal courts." |

Concerned for the safety of children playing nearby, he stood guard. With both arms outstretched like a crossing guard, Alberto kept the children away from the weapon until he was able to catch the attention of a police officer on the corner.
