"It’s Not About Crime Anymore. It’s about anti-crime policies that don’t work, but for officials and specific industries."
"Anti-crime policies drain sovereignty out of the home like gasoline companies drain money out of your budget."
"The Stand Your Ground movement began as a pro-household / pro-individual legislation addressing when persons face grave danger, including the criminal and civil penalties imposed. Many of these were recognized as unproductive, as nothing more than social engineering to the gain of those who wanted to make money or political prestige on the tragedy of others. ..." ... |

"New Jersey’s so-called 'one gun a month' bill (Assembly Bill A3511) is based on the absurd premise that criminals buy multiple crime handguns from licensed dealers. People with criminal intentions do not purchase with permits, get fingerprinted, and subject themselves to intrusive criminal and mental health background checks."
"What criminal is going to go through that process and then illegally sell registered guns in bulk?"
"Putting aside the stupidity of passing such a law, serious unintended consequences will occur from enacting this bill."
"Makes 12 handguns the maximum number of handguns any retail dealer can acquire in a year, from any combination of private owners, manufacturers or wholesalers." [emphasis added] ... |

"The forces of gun control know that they can’t stand up to a ruling that is actually in line with the Constitution. None of their laws, dicta, or legal mental gymnastics can compete with even a cursory examination of the writings of Jefferson, Madison, Hamilton, and the other Founders. An article on the NRA website details some of the palpable nervousness of the Brady Campaign:" ... |

"A CBS article claims that a new gun control proposal in Congress will 'require safe gun use'. Rufus Williams, Chicago Public Schools President, stated: 'We’ve lost 31 children, 31 CPS students have died or have been murdered this school year and it's not OK.'1 This theme kicks off HB 2666, sponsored by Congressman Bobby Rush, who represents Illinois’ Congressional District 1, which includes Chicago.2"

"There is no doubt that Damon Wells, the Cleveland man forced to shoot a neighborhood punk in self-defense, is apprehensive and remorseful for his part in the ordeal. In testimony given in a hearing Thursday the Plain Dealer reported that Wells stared at the floor while recounting the ordeal."
"In the end Arthur Buford's accomplice in the attempted robbery, Mardale Williams, was sent to adult court to face charges in his friend's death."
"We learn from the testimony that Wells did everything he could to avert the situation. He tried to de-escalate the violence by telling the two thugs he recognized them from the neighborhood in an attempt to either earn some respect or create the fear that Wells could identify them later. ..." ... |

"One might be forgiven for thinking there is no middle ground in politics… especially on issues of gun violence. ..."
"Today, the House of Representatives, the National Rifle Association, and the Brady Campaign disproved that notion, when the House voted to approve legislation cosponsored by Rep. Carolyn McCarthy and John Dingell that would help strengthen the Brady background check system." ...
"We hope that Congress and the gun lobby will continue to support meaningful reforms that extend Brady background checks to all gun sales, not just those by the licensed dealers who are covered by current law. That would be a significant additional step to prevent guns from getting into the hands of dangerous people." [emphasis added] |

"There's been a lot of confusion and questions surrounding NRA's position on a NICS improvement bill that's being written in Congress. Part of the confusion comes from the fact that the anti-gun media is portraying this as a 'gun-control' bill. Let me make it clear: It's not."
"The NICS bill, as written, wouldn't expand the definition of a prohibited person. It wouldn't disqualify anyone currently able to legally purchase a firearm. In fact, it would provide an opportunity for people who've been disqualified to clear their name. ..." ... -------

Last year in July, 29-year-old Ricky Beckham walked into a gun shop in Penrose. He produced a large machete before being shot and wounded, but not fatally. Today, completely unexpectedly, two JPs threw the charge out and Carvell walked away a completely free man. -------
