The full metal jacket flat nose (or FMJ-FN) is just as the name implies – a full metal jacketed bullet with a flat nose. This type of ammunition is popular among pistol shooters and is often sold on-site at shooting ranges, both indoor and outdoor. One of the main reasons the nose is flat is so you can more accurately gauge where the round lands on your targets. The diameter is much more pronounced when a target is hit, and some competitions prefer these over normal-style FMJ bullets. |

Dana Criswell (R-Mount Olive) against Jackson Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba's executive order prohibiting the open carry of firearms in the city. This legal action was filed in the U.S. District Court of the Southern District of Mississippi challenging the mayor's actions as a violation of both the Mississippi Constitution's right to keep and bear arms provision and the state firearms preemption law. |

Easily overlooked in all the attention paid (rightly) to the historic Supreme Court decision extending antidiscrimination protections to LGBTQ people was a quiet announcement by the justices that they would not hear any of the 10 Second Amendment cases they had been considering. By agreeing not to decide these cases, the justices sent a clear signal to the gun-rights movement: Stop looking to the Supreme Court to strike down gun-control laws. |
