Joe Biden can best capitalize on the rioting following the death of George Floyd in the same way he can best capitalize on anything in 2020: by keeping quiet and out of sight. Unfortunately for Biden, he does occasionally show up and say things. And then this happens: He suggests that police should be trained that, if cops rushed by unarmed person, they could “shoot them in the leg instead of the heart is a very different thing.”

Pistol-length ARs are undeniably “hot” right now. Some people prefer to build (actually assemble) their own AR pistol but if quality parts are used the final cost may be higher than an already-assembled gun from a respectable firm. An excellent example is the new SAINT Pistol from Springfield Armory.

Hollow point bullets have been used for defense purposes and hunting since their inception. These bullets expand rapidly upon impact, guaranteeing the most damage possible without over-penetrating. One of the most common types of hollow point for sale today is the copper-plated hollow point, or CPHP.

CPHP is a popular bullet type among backyard shooters, pros and reloaders because of its versatility (you can use it for hunting, home defense, plinking and more). Among hollow point ammunition, CPHP is usually the most affordable, with a relatively simple manufacturing process that gives the budget-minded shooter the stopping power of hollow point ammo without the impact on their wallet.

New from Federal Ammunition is Punch, a defensive handgun round that is tailored to each specific caliber. Rather than develop a single bullet design for all five loads, Federal evaluated the performance of each individual caliber and then determined the optimal bullet design and weight for each load. The team at Federal then tuned each Punch load to provide the reliable expansion and penetration that a self-defense shooter needs.

Second Amendment supporters should always remember the comments of Nelson “Pete” Shields – not only because it is a warning of what anti-Second Amendment extremists want, but because what Shields described is a multi-step solution. The first problem was to slow down the number of firearms, which isn’t quite happening. In some cases, they are now trying to skip to the “second problem” Shields outlined, getting guns registered. One of the tools they are trying is HR 3553, the Untraceable Firearms Act of 2019, introduced by Representative David Cicilline (D-RI).

First the Wuhan Virus pandemic, now an epidemic of looting and violence. You think this mayhem is spontaneous? Not on your life. Everything with the left is a political calculation. They see this tragedy, and I am convinced that in the hearts and minds of leftist elitists is the question of how this violence will hurt President Trump. This, instead of preparing for the lawlessness perpetrated by Antifa and Black Lives Matter (BLM) that has used the peaceful and justified protests as a cover.

Sig’s entry consists of an in-house-designed lightweight high-performance 6.8mm (.277-caliber) hybrid ammunition, NGSW-AR lightweight machine guns, NGSW-R rifles, and suppressors.

Increasingly, turkey hunters I know are telling me that they are hanging up their turkey hunting gear. The reason: ticks. What a sad thing when all they need to do, to be safe, is to spray their hunting duds well with Permethrin, and remain vigilant. Granted, tick diseases are nothing to fool around with. In fact, in the overall scheme of things, some Lyme infections and associated diseases can be far more perilous and debilitating than the dreaded coronavirus.

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
As an individual, I believe, very strongly, that handguns should be banned and that there should be stringent, effective control of other firearms. However, as a judge, I know full well that the question of whether handguns can be sold is a political one, not an issue of products liability law, and that this is a matter for the legislatures, not the courts. The unconventional theories advanced in this case (and others) are totally without merit, a misuse of products liability laws. — Judge Buchmeyer, Patterson v. Gesellschaft, 1206 F.Supp. 1206, 1216 (N.D. Tex. 1985)
