... "That is what is typically seized on by those calling for wider distribution of specific trace data, who ignore that, as NRA-ILA has observed, 'BATFE has fought for years in the federal courts to keep trace records confidential, because they contain information (such as names of gun buyers) that could jeopardize ongoing investigations -- not to mention law enforcement officers’ lives.'"
"Additionally, as the reports themselves caution, 'Not all firearms used in crime are traced and not all firearms traced are used in crime.' Also typically ignored, is that the national 'time to crime' average ... is 11.12 years, making the usefulness of original purchase data for lost and stolen guns problematic." ... |

"It appears that Piers Morgan will be getting some anti-gun assistance on CNN. Monday night he was joined by Morgan Spurlock, host of CNN’s upcoming series Inside Man, where he talked about his experience working in a Virginia gun shop for his new show. ... [Spurlock] still advocates universal background checks, mag limits, a national gun owner database, tracking those with mental health problems and all the other things that the other Morgan wants too. It looks like CNN finally figured out Piers Morgan’s elitist snottiness and confrontational condescension turned off a lot of viewers so they’re trying a gentler, more moderate approach to get their anti-Second Amendment agenda across . . ." ... |

"We all know that you cannot buy too many guns. Like the organs in our body, we need guns to perform highly specialized functions for us. However, many times our spouses see things differently. It is your job to educate your spouse so that they too understand that one gun does not fit all and many guns are needed to be completely safe under any and all circumstances. ... When she plays the ‘cost’ card, that is when you say that you cannot place a value on her life. What kind of husband would you be if you valued her life for so little. When the order came down from the CPA that no Iraqi could own firearms and that they had to turn them in, we saw a severe uptick in violent crime i.e. robbery, carjacking, rape, kidnapping, home invasion, homicide, etc. Over the month of June and into August, it seemed as if there were a flooded river of violent crime victims, both living and dead, running through the Iraqi Police station." ... |

"One of my personal dislikes of the basic AR-15 platform is the fact that they don’t have folding stocks. I’m not talking about rifles like the SIG 556 or other variants, I’m talking about true ARs. The issue, of course, is the need for the buffer system located in the stock. Without the buffer system engaged, the life of your AR15 wouldn’t last past the next shot probably. So I did some searching around the web and came across a folding stock adapter for AR-15s made by Law Tactical. According to the company, it’s 'The only folding stock adapter compatible with AR platform rifles.' I was curious enough to go ahead and buy one and see if it’s worth the money . . ." ... |
