... "Today’s proceedings may prove explosive if a planned walkout by the Congressional Black Caucus is any indication of the level of resistance partisan administration apologists are prepared to resort to in protest against not just the scheduled vote, but the entire investigation. This will be tempered in actuality, if not perception, by the anticipated 'defections' of a significant number of Democrats from more 'conservative' states, although they will not be joined by former NRA Director Rep. John Dingell, who represents the Michigan district where slain Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry grew up." ...

"There are some very unsettling things coming from Google this week. If you do a shopping search for firearms-related products using Google, you will now get back nothing. ... Google has made great strides in the past on eliminating Internet censorship, but the California-based company seems to have it in for the firearms industry—and they are not alone." ...

Together we can show strength in numbers, and help them realize the value of the firearms industry and community."

"So there I was in the Rhode Island Attorney General’s office, actually in the office, behind security glass, standing next to a desk, picking up my Pistol Permit. 'I had to jump through a lot of hoops to get this,' I told to the woman assembling the laminated card. 'It’s a privilege,' the guy-in-charge opined, in no uncertain terms. 'It’s a right,' I countered, failing the STFU rule by a large margin. The big guy didn’t even blink. 'That’s only for the militias,' he said, ignoring decades of Supreme Court rulings. After an uncomfortable pause he asked why I applied for a State Pistol Permit when I have a Providence Concealed Weapon Permit . . ." ...

"You don’t need to watch television to know times are hard, and buying a shotgun might be a back-burner idea right now. Nonetheless, there are serviceable semi-automatics that may be had for a reasonable price. With a suggested retail price of $400, the Russian-made Baikal MP153 is one such gun. One might think Baikal is the name of an armory or manufacturing city in Russia, but it is actually the name of the world’s largest lake, located in southern Siberia." ...

"Kahr isn’t a company known for cutting corners. The company constructs its guns with the intention for them to endure the range and life-threatening situations. While it seems rather difficult to build a reliable and durable subcompact semi-auto pistol, Kahr actually specializes in it. The tolerances on their guns are extremely tight and if there’s ever a complaint about them it’s about the break-in period. Granted this type of manufacturing comes at a slightly higher price, so it’s a breath of fresh air to hear that Kahr is expanding its economical line of handguns with the CM40." ...

"My grandfather didn’t own a Browning A5, nor did my father. But my friend’s did. I remember comparing my Remington 870 Wingmaster—a well-used shotgun my father gave me when I was 14 years old—to the Browning A5.
