More drivel about Michael Moore's factually debunked work of fiction: "Bowling for Columbine" -------
"The scary thing about the film is not necessarily the guns themselves, nor is it the hands clenching the stocks — it’s the perceptions of the people behind all of it. You can take a gun away from someone, you can, as Chris Rock suggests in the film, charge people $5000.00 per bullet. You can do all that and more, but the one thing you can’t do is change the way people think."
"And whether it’s Michigan, USA or Krugersdorp or Sandton — you’ll find the same thing. You’ll find the same scared white guy, peering out from a locked door, probing the night for the dangers he knows are true — because his government has told him it’s so." ... |

The newly-passed tax cut is actually a clever vehicle used by the Bush administration to use demagoguery in order to purchase votes from the voters and to bolster Bush's prospects for re-election to the presidency while he shrouds the true purpose of the so-called "tax cut": to pillage the American people of their earnings via the devaluation of their currency. |

Eventually, it will be completely legal to carry a concealed handgun in the state of Ohio.
With the Republican governor and Republican-controlled Senate on one side of the debate, and the Republican-controlled House on the other, a concealed-carry bill of some sort seems inevitable. The only question remaining is just how restrictive the law will be.
So where do liberals fit into the debate? Perhaps they should start by giving up their opposition and learning to embrace the gun. |

A Kansas City, Mo., man has been acquitted in the stabbing death last year of one Kansas City teen and assault of two others.
James R. Tharnish, 18, was acquitted Friday of second-degree murder and five other felony charges in the June 2002 death of 17-year-old Matthew Vice and assault of Eric Sutherland and James Nik-Khah, both 17.
Tharnish testified Wednesday that he was acting in self-defense when he stabbed the three youths in his front yard.
Tharnish and several of his friends testified that Tharnish pulled out a knife only after he and his father had been punched. Defense witnesses also testified that Vice and his friends had threatened Tharnish in the months before the incident. |
