Recently I was asked by a friend to take a look at a shotgun he had acquired — a Stoeger P350 Tactical. He told me the action was hard to work and shells would occasionally bind in the magazine tube and not feed. |

When Joe Biden announced his scheme to reduce violent crime in America, he pointed to Baltimore as an example that could guide federal gun control efforts, but an Op-Ed column posted over the weekend, Cameron Smith observed, “In reality, the city clearly demonstrates that banning “assault weapons” and expanding background checks are solutions that fail to understand the problem.”
Smith is a former executive director of the Republican Policy Committee in the U.S. House of Representatives. |

U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) should’ve seen the footage by now. It happened in her backyard after all, in a Bronx, N.Y., neighborhood and her congressional district includes portions of the Bronx. The recent incident is just one in a larger trend of spiking criminal violence as Americans have seen the consequences of rising calls to ‘defund the police,’ slashed law enforcement budgets and criminals receiving ‘get out of jail’ cards from prosecutors. |

San Jose City Council will vote at Tuesday’s meeting on gun harm reduction ordinances proposed in the wake of a tragic mass shooting that took nine lives at the Santa Clara County Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) yard in May--including a first-of-its kind mandate for insurance, and an annual fee for gun owners to relieve the public cost of gun violence. Ahead of the vote, the Pacific Institute on Research and Evaluation (PIRE) provided preliminary estimates from its Public Cost of Gun Harm Study for San José. PIRE estimates the cost to taxpayers stemming from gun violence in San José is $442 million annually.

Over the last year I’ve covered several stories that highlight and outline the incredibly close ties the anti-freedom, gun-grabbing groups have with New Jersey’s Governor Phil Murphy’s office. When you talk about a swamp, things don’t get much swampier than the situation in New Jersey. In an Open Public Records Act (W171220) obtained by AmmoLand News (embedded in full below), there is some pretty compelling information in there. |

There’s no tool in a hunter’s arsenal as timeless as the side-by-side shotgun. The hammerless boxlock action, which serves as the most popular design for modern side-by-side shotgun, was first unveiled in 1875. And even in the face of more modern repeating shotgun designs, there are still grouse, rabbit, and duck hunters who still go afield with a double gun in their hands. |

While President Biden is attacking gun ownership with statements such as “The Second Amendment from the day it was passed, limited the type of people who could own a gun and what type of weapon you could own. … Well, the tree of liberty is not [watered with] the blood of patriots, what’s happened is that there never been, if you want, if you think you need to have weapons to take on the government, you need F-15s and maybe some nuclear weapons,” one of the largest gun companies in America reported that they became the first gun company to rack up more than $1 billion in sales in a calendar year. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
I do believe that where there is a choice only between cowardice and violence, I would advise violence. Thus when my eldest son asked me what he should have done had he been present when I was almost fatally assaulted in 1908 [by an Indian extremist opposed to Gandhi's agreement with Smuts], whether he should have run away and seen me killed or whether he should have used his physical force which he could and wanted to use, and defend me, I told him it was his duty to defend me even by using violence. Hence it was that I took part in the Boer War, the so-called Zulu Rebellion and [World War I]. Hence also do I advocate training in arms for those who believe in the method of violence. I would rather have India resort to arms in order to defend her honor than that she should in a cowardly manner become or remain a helpless witness to her own dishonor. — Mohandas K. Gandhi, Young India, August 11, 1920 from Fischer, Louis ed.,The Essential Gandhi, 1962 |
