"Emmy Award-winning director Kris Koenig’s documentary film “Assaulted: Civil Rights Under Fire” will premiere in selected theaters across the country, a project update from Dead Patriot Films announced yesterday."
"Readers of this column were introduced to the film in September of last year, when Koenig was soliciting funds to complete the project via the Kickstarter fundraising website. Regular project updates were relayed on The War on Guns blog, and this column again apprised readers of the film’s progress when a trailer was released in January." ... |

"There’s nothing that gun control advocates love more than a good prodigal son story. Someone who strayed from the one true 'guns are evil and need to be eradicated' path only to be shown the light, coming back home to the confiscatory fold. That’s why you see so many people using the time-honored phrase 'I’m a hunter and I support the second amendment, but…'. But even after her husband, a decorated war hero and author of one of the better books I’ve read this year, Chris Kyle was shot and killed, Taya Kyle refuses to blame the tool and instead blames the man . . ." ... |

"In early May, Cody Wilson, the world's most famous digital gunsmith, fired the first entirely 3D-printed handgun, the Liberator, and posted its blueprints online. The idea was to give anyone with an Internet connection, a computer, and a 3D printer the chance to do the same."
"It sounded simple enough: you download, you print, you fire. Still, questions remained. How easy is it to actually replicate what Wilson did? How expensive? Can someone pull it off with a cheaper 3D printer?" ...
"Software engineer Travis Lerol, 30, took about 48 hours to print the electric blue Liberator. He did it using his consumer-grade, $1,300 3D Systems Cube printer, and a grand total of $30 in materials." ... |

"I arrive home from shopping, take off my gun which has been riding on my belt in either an IWB or OWB holster for the last two or more hours. My hip is sore but I go about my business anyway. Hours later, my hip is still sore. Sound familiar? For many senior citizens, carrying a gun on their hip is not a comfortable proposition. Perhaps that is why most seniors I meet in my retirement community, and quite a few young guys too, are now pocket carrying guns. After all, there are pocket guns in all calibers these days and aside from a slight tugging down on your pants, pocket carry does not cause pain or feel uncomfortable." ... |

"I quickly became a fan of the XDs 45, enough so that I retired the Shield to the safe and carried the XDs for several months, alternating it with my primary carry handgun which is a Glock 19. While I was impressed with the XDs 45′s features it had one glaring problem that I pointed out in my review video — it was the wrong caliber." ... |
