During a June 4, 2023, CNN town hall, presidential hopeful Nikki Haley (R) said she does not support red flag laws because she does not believe the government can be trusted the power red flag laws create. CNN host Jake Tapper said, Some states experimented with red flag laws, which allows law enforcement and the courts to temporarily either remove guns or block people from purchasing guns.

Hawaii Gov. Josh Green (D) signed legislation Friday that prohibits concealed carry for self-defense in movie theaters, on beaches, in stadiums, and numerous other places. The Associated Press reported that the legislation also requires private business to post signs stating that they allow guns to be carried for self-defense, if in fact they do.

Colorado Gov. Jared Polis (D) signed a bill on Friday banning the manufacture and sale of ghost guns, unserialized firearms that are privately made or put together through gun kits that are generally hard to trace. The new law, which the governor signed on National Gun Violence Awareness Day, also establishes a process for anyone with a ghost gun to have it legally registered.

The Second Amendment Foundation and its partners in a legal challenge of New Jerseys sensitive places concealed carry statute have filed a response to the states motion for a stay in the Third U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. The case is now known as Koons v. Platkin. Second Amendment Foundation is joined by the Firearms Policy Coalition, the Coalition of New Jersey Firearm Owners, New Jersey Second Amendment Society, and four private citizens.

May 2023 has passed, and all we're left with is a confusing and backward brace rule currently in effect for all but a select few. It's not all bad, though. Americans continue to show up to the gun counter in droves, not to be deterred from exercising our constitutional rights. Braces might be out of play for the moment, but you can bet we're still selling a ton of AR-15s and other modern sporting rifles. Great deals continue to dominate the top sellers list here, and we've had some doozies over the past month.

A legally armed concealed carry holder in Chicago turned the table on a pair of armed suspected carjackers who were left in handcuffs after the botched crime, police say. Police arrested and charged 21-year-old Anton Cheeks and 18-year-old Travell Quadir Deal on Sunday evening after the pair allegedly tried to steal a car from a 24-year-old victim near the Ford City Mall.

Ramsey Bodeen was about 11 years old when a friend of a family friend brought him out to a shooting range and introduced him to trapshooting.

Hes been hooked on it ever since, and his shooting skill and dedication have grown exponentially after nearly a decade in the sport.

I just started with leagues once every few weeks and went from there, he said. Then one of my coaches found me while shooting leagues and I just havent stopped since.

All his years of hard work paid off when he parlayed the best performance of his young career to date into a national title at the 2023 Junior Mens Trap National Championship in Hillsdale, Michigan.
