Those of us who own have aptly demonstrated an obvious discretion based on respect of life and not using the (potentially) very emotionally upsetting events during the opera of life to excuse the use of a firearm to exact vengence. We have determined to refrain from lethal force in genuine respect of the human experience, except in self-defense or defense of innocents.
May this character lend itself today in reflection and action for peace. May Ms Roy live long in her home. |

"I got a request by e-mail to go to a web site and vote on a poll to give my opinion on the discussion in Congress on a law that would close the Gun Show Loophole. I went to the site and voted and then I got to thinking about the word loophole. My question would be what loophole? How can Congress vote on something that doesn't exist? I have been going to, or putting on Gun Shows for years now and until the Brady Law came along, no one even thought about them being a so-called loophole..." - Sheriff Michael E. Cook |

"After years of watching the kids and their parents, Miller has come up with a way to get guns away from children. He wants school officials -- teachers and principals -- to ask children about guns in their homes, whether those guns are locked up and whether the children feel safe. The names of children who are scared at home would be reported to Child Protective Services and the police." |

"Freedom of contract has come to be viewed with contempt. Suppose you offer to pay me for $3 an hour and I agree; suppose I live in Virginia and want to purchase liquor in Washington, D.C.; suppose in rent-controlled New York and San Francisco a landlord and tenant mutually agree to pay a higher rent; suppose I'm a California navel orange grower who wants to sell his entire crop; and suppose you want to provide taxi services in New York but don't have $170,000 for a license." |

"To support that notion is to believe the Amendment, second in a list of amendments adopted to safeguard individuals from overweening governmental power, is not meant to safeguard individuals from overweening governmental power. To support that notion is to believe that while "the people" in the First, Fourth, Ninth, and Tenth Amendments refers to individuals, "the people" in the Second Amendment refers only to groups." -- Editorial of the Richmond Times-Dispatch |

"Westview Avenue and Monadnock Drive have a lot in common with other streets in Shrewsbury. There's some older, well-kept houses not far from some newer, mammoth houses. The green lawns and the view are lovely, but it's the echo of gunshots that really sets the neighborhood apart."
"Both streets are within easy earshot of the Worcester Police Department's firing range on Main Street between the St. John's High School athletic fields and Monadnock Drive." |

"All in all, I have found no value in most ballot access laws, other than as an impediment to the rights of the minority political parties, or as a muzzle to try and mute a dissenting minority voice. It can be said that Republicans and Democrats alike have no interest in the freedom of the minority parties to have equal access to our government. They have seized control of a nation and have no intentions of ever relinquishing the reigns to the team that powers the run away wagon - bureaucracy." |
