He was ordered out of his vehicle by police conducting a 'felony traffic stop', eventually had to crawl out of his window (his doors were locked and he was ordered to keep his hands in sight, rendering it impossible to unlock them), and was ordered to the ground while being held at gunpoint. His crime? Carrying a gun lawfully." ...

"I am on record as saying the world would be better off without guns. Actually, I'm really not anti-gun, I'm just fed up with reckless and ruthless gun owners. Collectors and sportsmen don't generally fall into either category."

"... I don't care a lot for handguns, but as long as the laws are followed when purchasing one, I don't have a problem."

"Last September, a study by researchers at the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found that more than 1.7 million children live in homes with loaded, unlocked guns. More than 500 children die annually from accidental gunshots. Some shoot themselves, while others kill friends or siblings, often after discovering a gun." ...

Submitter's Note: Actually according to the CDC's WISQARS website, in 2002 and 2003 there were less than 1/10th of that number of children (13 and under) accidentally killed by guns. To reach the over 500 annually number, you have to include 'children' up to 45 years old.
