“We believe in the right of everyone to seek his fortune and live, to the respect for the other and tolerance. We know that our free life is stronger than any terrorist. Let’s give the terrorists the answer by living our values confidently. And as we affirm these values throughout Europe. Now more than ever.” I don’t even know how to respond to that except it is obvious she has listened to Obama and the call of the New World Order as it calls to the world to bow down in the early dawn. She might as well have said, “Come free and tolerant people and have respect for the savage beasts that want to kill you. Bare your heads nicely to save them the struggle and fight. Die confidently with your values..." |

A National Rifle Association TV commercial attacking Hillary Clinton, reportedly filmed in a national cemetery in possible violation of federal restrictions, is airing more in Ohio than any other state.
The 30-second spot from the NRA Political Victory Fund began running today in Columbus and other cities as part of a $1.2 million buy in Ohio that takes on the presumptive Democrat presidential nominee while urging support for Republican Donald Trump. |

Designed and produced by Halos Force LLC, users join the Halos community and elect to be represented in several different ways on a heat map, revealing areas of high and low concentrations of concealed carry permit holders in the immediate vicinity of its users, in real time.
Halos Founder Dan Cook said, “With Halos, one can now post a giant warning sign for those contemplating violence. Halos’ maps illustrate not only where the good guys are (or are not) but how many are present. We believe that this will create a ‘halo’ effect of safety for our users and deter criminals where there are high concentrations of gun-carrying citizens.” |

The Assault Weapons Ban of 1994 expired in 2004. In 2004, a research report submitted to the United States Department of Justice and the National Institute of Justice found that, should the ban be renewed, its effects on gun violence would likely be small and perhaps too small for reliable measurement, because rifles in general, including rifles referred to as “assault rifles” or “assault weapons,” are rarely used in gun crimes. Banning semi-automatic firearms from law-abiding citizens who use them for self-defense legally is foolish. |

An Illinois gun shop is holding a raffle for an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle to raise money for the victims of the Orlando shooting.
The raffle has struck a chord with many Americans for whom the AR-15 has become emblematic of the highly fraught debate around the role of assault weapons in American culture. To gun-rights advocates, the AR-15 is "America's gun," a lightweight weapon that is ideal for target practice, self defense, and hunting. Proponents of gun-control, however, point to the AR-15 and other semi-automatic weapons like that have been used in mass shootings as evidence that the expired ban on assault weapons should be reinstated. |

Tennessee’s uber-conservative legislature has been doing some pretty amazing things of late, but Senate Bill 1736 arguably tops them all.
In an ironic twist for a society that has become increasingly and almost absurdly litigious and yet so full of ninnys who get a “thrill up their leg” at the mere thought of taking away your right to defend yourself, Tennessee has turned those two things completely upside down by exposing those very ninnys to the only thing they understand – the prospect of a big fat lawsuit.

There was a time when the NRA fought for a two-day waiting period on handgun sales and limits on concealed weapons permits. And a time when then–California Governor Ronald Reagan signed legislation forbidding the carrying of loaded firearms in public. Before gun control became a progressive cause, it was a right-wing staple, and it was aimed squarely at the rights of African-Americans nationwide.
Ed.: The antis always bring this up, and then are horrified that these same events caused gun owners to revolt against the NRA and make the NRA more pro-gun. |

Police say Little put down his knife and attempted to attack his landlord with a sledgehammer.
Oh, but by the hammer of Thor, little Billy didn’t know that his opponent held a more effective tool: a gun.
The landlord, 67-year-old Alfred Robbins, pulled out his handgun and shot his tenant, swiftly ending his reign of assault.
“Preliminary indications are that the shooting appears to have been an act of self-defense,” Major Byron Ashbrook said. |

The contentious issue of the future of gun legislation in the United States came to the Long Beach City Council chambers Wednesday night, as Congressman Alan Lowenthal led a periodically heated discussion on what his constituents want to see done at the congressional level.
There were few empty seats inside Long Beach City Hall as supporters of gun rights and advocates for tighter restrictions on access to firearms filled the chambers to hear what their elected officials had to say and to have their voices heard as well. |

We’ve been calling for record votes on Utah Republican Rep. Rob Bishop’s H.R. 2710, the Lawful Purpose and Self Defense Act, which removes the unconstitutional “sporting purpose” language from the Gun Control Act, and Republican Rep. Richard Nugent’s H.R. 402, National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity Act. These are bills that GunVoters want to see passed. More importantly right now, these are bills that will help draw clear lines between pro-rights politicians and those who oppose individual rights, invigorating and engaging GunVoters as we head into the November elections. |

Imagine the horror of watching one of your fellow commuters hacked to death. Imagine the terror in wondering if you might be next. Imagine the frustration of knowing that’s there’s nothing you can do about it.
Every day, hundreds of thousands of Illinois commuters head out for work knowing full well they face brutalization with very little recourse. That’s because the Illinois General Assembly decided that self-Defense is needed least where is it needed most – public transportation. The outcome is predictable. Hardly a week goes by when chilling stories of murder and mayhem on trains and buSES aren’t splashed across the headlines. Unfortunately, last week was no different. |

On Thursday afternoon, the four Democratic candidates running to be the next member of Congress from Florida’s 10th District met for their first debate at a meeting of the Tiger Bay of Central Florida
Former Orlando Police Chief Val Demings, Former Florida Democratic Party Chairman Bob Poe, State Senator Geraldine Thompson, and Attorney Fatima Rita Fahmy all made their case on why they should represent the people. The majority of the discussion revolved around the issue of gun control, after the Pulse Nighclub shootings that took place earlier this month, killing 49 people and injuring 53 more.

In her op-ed, Stallard also speculated how many people could have been saved in Florida if they had only brought their guns to the club. But the Pink Pistols’ call to arms is misguided, misinformed, and utterly irresponsible. There is a vast body of evidence that disproves these pro-gun talking points and suggests that gun ownership would have disproportionately negative outcomes for LGBT people. Here’s why Stallard’s op-ed isn’t just wrong, it’s irresponsible. |

But there's a gaping paradox here. The right to bear arms, especially as it has come to be interpreted -- the right to own an assault rifle, the right to carry a gun pretty much anywhere and everywhere, the right to kill your enemy -- is something far, far more than an isolated, individual freedom. NRA propaganda to the contrary, one person's right to bear arms takes away, ultimately, another person's right to live in safety.
To put it another way, the right to bear arms establishes a particular precondition for social order, as described so unforgettably by NRA executive vice president Wayne LaPierre: "The only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is with a good guy with a gun."

The question of whether a finding of immunity from criminal prosecution under the state's self-defense laws also applies to a subsequent civil lawsuit could soon make its way to the Florida Supreme Court.
A three-judge panel of the 2nd District Court of Appeal ruled Wednesday that a man who smashed a glass into the face of an attacker was entitled to have a civil case against him thrown out without a second hearing on his self-defense claim under the state's "stand your ground" law. |

Starting July 1, it’s perfectly legal to carry a stun gun or Taser anywhere on campus at Georgia’s public colleges and universities.
House Bill 792 is one of several bills that become law Friday.
The new law says electroshock weapons can only be used on campus for self-defense.
Charlie Sutlive, a spokesman for the University System of Georgia, told CBS46, "Our University System of Georgia institutions are aware of HB 792 taking effect July 1, and we have been working directly with our campus chiefs of police and safety departments in preparation.” |
