The Iowa Supreme Court wrapped up its term with two rulings on the Second Amendment right to carry a firearm. The first case involved Jordan Cole, who signed a one-year protective order in a Hamilton County domestic abuse case that prohibited him from possessing firearms. Cole was later arrested in Story County for pawning two stolen guns.

This summer a mobile shooting range is making its way through Michigan state parks to promote gun safety as well as some early target practice before the fall hunting season.

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources is working with the hunting nonprofit Pheasants Forever to bring this portable experience to six state parks.

The free shooting practice uses BB guns and comes with expert instruction from Pheasants Forever education and outreach coordinator and hunter safety instructor Matt Lefler.

The hands-one experience will be roaming the east side of the state and doesnt require any reservation or payment.
