"The Second Amendment Foundation is requesting Supreme Court review on concealed carry outside the home, petitioning the high court for review of a Maryland case challenging the state’s arbitrary standards for issuing carry licenses based on whether an individual citizen can prove 'a good and substantial reason' for wanting to carry a firearm for protection."
"When Judge Benson Everett Legg ruled in early March 2012 that, 'The Court finds that the right to bear arms is not limited to the home,' it was seen as a major victory for right-to-carry advocates. However, Legg was reversed on appeal this past March, and now Maryland Attorney General Douglas Gansler says he will oppose an appeal to the Supreme Court ..." ... |

I haven’t thoroughly searched your web site, but I am wondering if you have addressed or can further elaborate on the alleged 'natural' right to bear arms. I am unaware of Nature issuing any set of rights for human beings, or for any species. There may be many 'laws of nature,' but I am unfamiliar with rights granted by nature."

"When George Zimmerman shot Trayvon Martin, anti-rights politicians and media saw an opportunity to sway public opinion in favor of repealing state 'castle doctrine' laws. All they needed was supportive 'research.' Enter Cheng Cheng and Mark Hoekstra, both of the Texas A&M University Economics Department — they published a paper titled 'Does Strengthening Self-Defense Law Deter Crime or Escalate Violence? Evidence from Expansions to Castle Doctrine.' They concluded that 'castle doctrine' had no beneficial impact on burglary, robbery, and aggravated assault. They also claimed that the result of 'strengthening self-defense law is increased homicide.' Their conclusion: enhanced self-defense laws caused more murder . . ." ... |

While no one wants to arm a-holes it’s better to risk occasional ballistic douchebaggery than it is to remove Americans’ natural, civil and Constitutional right to keep and bear arms. That way criminal dominance and government tyranny lies. Besides, we have more than enough data to conclude that irresponsible gun ownership is a black swan deal. Every day, more than 150 million American gun owners don’t shoot (or shoot at) the wrong person or, indeed, any person. This undeniable fact makes the occasional concealed carry license holders’ firearms-related stupidity all the more remarkable and, in this case, spectacular . . ." ... |

It makes sense because if someone is unable to figure out which gun is for him/her, he or she will not be able to make a holster decision either. The problem is that asking people which holster is best for you is the same as asking them which shoes you should buy. It is one of those personal choices that the buyer is only able to make.
