The Trophy Bonded Tip bullet is used in a few Federal Premium Ammunition lines – the Trophy Bonded Bear Claw, Trophy Bonded Sledgehammer Solid, and the Trophy Copper. While each of these ammo lines differs slightly, there’s one thing they all have in common, and that’s the tip.

This bullet and its tip were created for one purpose – to take down large, thick-skinned animals (we’re talking African game). These bullets have great features that enable massive penetration and expansion, like a large and very accurate hollow point.

On July 8th, the North Carolina General Assembly adjourned for the summer. They are scheduled to return in September.
Though the COVID-19 crisis has caused disruption to the session, both chambers passed the Second Amendment Preservation Act by bipartisan, pro-gun supermajorities. Governor Roy Cooper then vetoed this important self-defense and private property rights measure, making clear why November’s gubernatorial election will be critical to Second Amendment rights.

June has been marked in recent years by a flurry of orange-clad marchers promoting National Gun Violence Awareness Month. This year’s planned gatherings, however, fell victim to the COVID-19 pandemic and were overshadowed by Black Lives Matter’s nationwide protests against institutional racism within policing. But the gun-control lobby’s reticence isn’t out of respect for the lives of George Floyd or Breonna Taylor but rather concern for its own preservation.

The narrative on guns in the U.S. has taken a dramatic shift in 2020 amid a global pandemic and civil unrest that led thousands into the streets in protest. While the future remains unclear, leaving many Americans wondering what the remaining months of 2020, an election year, have in store, there is one thing that seems rather certain — the argument in favor of gun control just got a little murkier. With the National Shooting Sports Foundation reporting 40 percent of gun purchases coming from new gun owners, this year has seen previously anti-gun supporters jumping the party line to grab a gun of their own.

An Evanston man charged with trespass for carrying a firearm onto University of Wyoming property will appeal an state district court ruling confirming the university’s ability to ban firearms on its property, said his attorney. “Our position is that the Wyoming Legislature preempted the regulation of firearms in Wyoming,” said Jason Tangeman, the attorney for Lyle Williams. “As a result, any governmental entity — city, town or county and including UW — would have no authority to regulate firearms.”

It has become commonly accepted among anti-gun extremists to ignore the mountains of evidence that exposes the abject failure of gun control to prevent violent criminals from acting like violent criminals. They reject the fact that criminals already violate myriad laws at the local, state, and federal level in furtherance of their illicit activities, and insist that the only way to prevent criminals from committing crimes with firearms is to add more laws.

Philip Smith, national president and founder of the National African American Gun Association (NAAGA), hopes to encourage more Black people to legally own guns with an understanding of history and the mechanics of firearms. “I think the toughest battle we have to go through on a daily basis is just getting that perception of African Americans and guns. When people hear those two words and put them together, there’s usually a negative stereotype that pops in your head and that’s within our own community, and especially outside of our community.

The revelation that federal Paycheck Protection Program loans went to at least two gun prohibition groups brought a scathing reaction from a national Second Amendment organization which called the loans “an outrage.”

My new book, “Gun Control Myths,” is, I think, is one of my best. The book explains the problems with all the common false claims continually made about guns in the media and by gun control advocates. It covers myths about mass public shootings, how suicides and crime vary with gun ownership, how politics corrupts the FBI's gathering of crime data, and gun-free zones. Andrew Pollack, whose daughter was murdered in the Parkland school shooting, was kind enough to write the book's forward. For a donation of $30 or more, we will send you a signed copy of the book. Here is some of the praise the book has received.

President Trump’s administration last week quietly dropped a longstanding ban on the commercial export of firearm suppressors, effective immediately. In 2002, during the administration of President George W. Bush, the U.S. State Department dropped the hammer on commercial suppressor exports, which barred potentially lucrative overseas markets to American can makers. Now, after years of lobbying by pro-gun industry groups, the door is now open.

The excitement of being a new gun owner is amazing. So many new challenges on the horizon, but as a new shooter there is a lot to take onboard. Probably the most important skill you develop is gun safety. Even if you do not intend on handling guns, understanding safety will prove invaluable if and when you find yourself in their presence. I’m sure many of you grew up around guns—surprisingly I did not. I did go shooting with family and friends on a regular basis, but there were no guns in my household. Even early on in my life I was exposed to safety and eventually to understanding the importance of gun safety in my daily handling of them.

Dunkelberger's Sports Outfitters on Main Street in Stroudsburg is always busy with people coming in to buy sports equipment, hunting, and fishing licenses. But according to owner Jere Dunkelberger, this year is a little different. "Dealing with everything we have been with the virus situation, I think people are looking to get out a little more. They are obviously, probably looking to subsidize their home food budget a little bit and you know hunting is always a thrill and adventure for everyone. This year I think there's an exceptional amount of people taking advantage of that," said Jere Dunkelberger, Dunkelberger's Sports Outfitters owner.

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
The right of the people to keep and bear arms has been recognized by the General Government; but the best security of that right after all is, the military spirit, that taste for martial exercises, which has always distinguished the free citizens of these States....Such men form the best barrier to the liberties of America — Gazette of the United States, October 14, 1789.
