Adkinson commented that the incident had involved four people who were involved in an altercation, with a knife being pulled on two of the people involved and a gun being pulled in response by one of the opposing parties. Adkinson reported that two rounds were fired, with the aggressors being shot, adding that the people who were shot were taken to the hospital.

In Florida law, thats self defense, Adkinson said.

Good neighbors are more precious than gold and guns are great for self defense. These are my takeaways from the following story

A homeowner in Wesley Chapel, FL was reportedly relaxing in his home shortly after midnight when he heard the sound of breaking glass and responded by grabbing a gun. Id call that a good first response.

When he spotted an armed and masked man coming at him down a long hallway, the homeowner shot him.

When a second armed man followed the first, gunfire was exchanged and another bad guy fell.

The Shiawassee County Board of Commissioners will decide Thursday whether to make the county a Second Amendment sanctuary and follow in the footsteps of hundreds of other municipalities across the nation and state.

On Wednesday a near unanimous decision during the Committee of the Whole meeting ensured the resolution would move forward. It declares support for the county sheriff and prosecuting attorney to use their discretion to not enforce any unconstitutional firearms law.

St. Louis police have applied for warrants in the case of the Central West End couple who pointed guns at protesters on their street. But Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner is silent on whether charges will be filed against the McCloskeys.

St. Louis Police Chief John Hayden on Tuesday told News 4 they applied for warrants but did not elaborate on what those warrants allege or who they are against. The guns were turned over to police as evidence.

Members of the Kenai Peninsula Borough Assembly voted recently to make the borough a Second Amendment sanctuary.

The assembly voted at its July 7 meeting, held via Zoom, to affirm its commitment to supporting citizen rights to keep and bear arms. The ordinance, sponsored by Mayor Charlie Pierce and assembly members Jesse Bjorkman, Norm Blakely and Kenn Carpenter, opposes the passage of any legislation that would restrict individual rights protected by the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. The ordinance also declared the borough a Second Amendment Sanctuary.

Counsel for the city of Sandpoint is calling on a 1st District Court judge to dismiss a lawsuit filed by Second Amendment advocates over the Festival at Sandpoints prohibition of firearms during the annual waterfront concert series.

Peter Erbland, who represents the city in the legal skirmish, filed an answer to a civil complaint filed by the a Idaho Second Amendment Alliance and the Second Amendment Foundation denying the groups arguments that the firearms prohibition is unlawful and unconstitutional.

The prosecutor investigating the St. Louis couple who aimed guns at protesters says she has received racist attacks and death threats that have worsened as President Trump has thrown his support behind the couple.

This is a modern-day night ride, and everybody knows it, St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner (D) said in an interview with The Washington Post, referring to the terroristic forays of the Ku Klux Klan into African American neighborhoods in the 19th and 20th centuries. And for a president to participate in it, in the larger context of racism and cronyism, is scary.

The NRA [National Rifle Association] has been spreading insurrectionist rhetoric for the past few decades, undermining Americans trust in their legislators and the federal government, while passing for a patriotic organization, says the studys lead author, Claire Boine, an SPH research scholar in community health sciences. The result is a few million people who are convinced that any genuine firearm violence prevention effort is the first step in a scheme to take away all of their rights and disenfranchise them.

Wilson said that the truck's driver then reportedly attempted to run Wilson and his girlfriend off the road, and that one of the truck's occupants reportedly pelted Wilson's car with an unidentified object. Wilson, with his licensed handgun, then fired at the vehicle in what he says was self-defense. One of his bullets struck Hutcheson in the head. She died at a nearby hospital.

The Evans County Board of Commissioners (BOC) unanimously approved a resolution that proclaims Evans County, Georgia, a Second Amendment Sanctuary County.

The Second Amendment of the Constitution of the United States provides U.S. citizens the right to bear arms. Ratified in December 1791, the amendment says, A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

The Northumberland County District Attorney's Office dropped felony aggravated assault and strangulation charges against a Northumberland woman after a domestic incident in January that saw her point a loaded gun at a man she said attacked her, according to police.

Cassandra Clark, 27, of 11th St., had the felony charges as well as misdemeanor charges of simple assault and terroristic threats, dismissed prior to a preliminary arraignment in front of Milton District Judge Mike Diehl on Wednesday.

Point Township police filed the charges on Jan. 26 after saying they arrived to an 11th St., residence for a report of a physical domestic incident, according to court documents.

Early on, Sheriff Billy Rowles said it appeared to be a case of self-defense and said the shooter, Daniel Myers, told investigators that he shot Mason because he was "in fear of serious bodily injury". It was also noted that the two had been involved in an ongoing dispute. The Grand Jury agreed and chose to not indict Myers on any charges.

In Jackson County, the sheriff's office said they received several calls about legally carrying a gun while having a mask on.

Rocky Harnen, chief deputy for Jackson County, said after the governor announced a mandatory masking order, the sheriff's office got multiple calls from people asking if they're able to legally carry a gun with a permit and wear a mask at the same time.

Harnen says the answer is yes.

Add Subway sandwich shops to the list of responsible businesses that demonstrate care for the safety and comfort of customers and employees.

The Milford-headquartered franchise changed its policy and will now ban the open carrying of firearms in its restaurants, even in states where open carry is permitted, following similar moves by businesses such as Target, Walmart, Whole Foods, CVS and Walgreens.
