“Many of you say my orders are unconstitutional," Abbott said. "But remember, I was the attorney general who fought for your First Amendment, your Second Amendment and your 10th Amendment rights at the United States Supreme Court. I will never abandon the Constitution, and I haven't here.”
He implored the party faithful to focus on the things that still unite them — their support for President Donald Trump and their desire to defeat former Vice President Joe Biden. |

The Kenai Peninsula Borough Assembly voted to make the borough a “Second Amendment sanctuary,” the Peninsula Clarion reported Thursday.
The assembly passed an ordinance opposing the passage of any legislation that would limit civil liberties associated with the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.
It clarifies that the assembly does not have law enforcement powers. Its author, Kelly Cooper, said it was important to be clear about what authority the assembly has to enforce this ordinance. The board’s ordinance cannot override city, state or federal regulations. |

On March 25, 2020, the Court received notification from the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services ("DCJS") that Douglas James Crane, a New York State pistol permit licensee, was convicted of the misdemeanor offense of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the [Fifth] Degree on May 26, 1982 in Walton Village Court. The notice from DCJS indicates that the "division has determined that the individual is ineligible to possess such a license or is no longer a valid license holder based upon their criminal conviction. This determination is being provided to you as the licensing authority for appropriate action (see Penal Law §§ 400.02 and 400.00)." |

In a statement, one of Mr. Purdy’s lawyers, Mark Kamish, said the legal team was “obviously disappointed” with Ms. Oliphant’s decision to charge Mr. Purdy but not Mr. Booker, whom the statement called Mr. Purdy’s “trespassing assailant.”
The statement said that “legitimate and evidence-based charging recommendations by law enforcement officers” had been ignored.
“Indiana law allows citizens to make arrests of people punching other people on private property, and to use reasonable force in doing so,” the statement said. “Indiana also has a broad self-defense statute.” |

According to Reason Magazine, black ownership of guns has lagged behind whites at a rate of 32 percent to 49 percent. This 2017 Pew Research Center study even accounts for recent instances of police brutality and increases in hate crimes during the presidency of Donald Trump. However, in Minneapolis, Minn., some black business owners, as well as protesters, have had enough of not being able to defend themselves in the face of racism or violence. Videos posted to Twitter during the riots in Minneapolis showed armed black civilians guarding black-owned businesses in downtown in order to deter any looters or arsonists from destroying their livelihoods. |

Throw out the stereotypes on American gun ownership. They’re just wrong.
Against the backdrop of historically high firearm sales, one major theme is shattering misconceptions that America’s gun owners are “old white men.” A surge in gun buyers across the country in 2020, more than 2.5 million since March alone, has boosted the diversity of the firearm-owning population.
While surprising to some, it’s not to those in the firearm industry. Today’s gun buyer looks more like the rest of America. They represent all walks of life and those buying firearms today increasingly are women, minorities, and more urban than in previous generations. |

The Radical Left Democrats, Collectivists all, are sly, deceitful creatures. They erode our fundamental rights under the cloak of morality and pragmatism, hoping that few Americans will notice.
Consider the Biden campaign’s war on the fundamental right of free speech. Recently, Biden and other Collectivists argue that free speech ought not to extend to “hate speech.” Superficially, that may seem reasonable to some Americans. But is it? What constitutes “hate speech?” Indeed what constitutes “speech” as free expression under the Constitution. Does Flag Burning constitute “speech” protected under the First Amendment? |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise, and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be the constant companion of your walks. — Thomas Jefferson, Encyclopedia of T. Jefferson, 318, Foley, Ed., reissued 1967. |
