In 2004, the Hornady Manufacturing Company introduced the .17 Hornady Mach 2 (.17 HM2) using a .22 LR case that had been extended and necked down. This cartridge should not be mistaken for the Hornady .17 HMR, which is based on the case of a .22 Magnum. |

Eduard Rubin, a Swiss Army Lieutenant Colonel, designed the 7.5x55mm Swiss cartridge in 1889. The Swiss military was using a 10.4x38mm rimfire rifle at the time, and the 7.5x55 Swiss used a bullet with a smaller diameter (.304 inches) and was among the first cartridges to investigate the idea of firing smaller and lighter bullets at high velocity. |

The .22 Hornet is a well-regarded classic, if underrated, round. Meanwhile, Ruger’s Super Redhawk family of revolvers continue to exude pure class. When the two come together, the outcome is exciting.
Eight rounds of low-recoiling, zippy performance in a stainless wheel gun? Yes, please. While the partnership seems made in heaven, it still surprised us to see Ruger launch a Super Redhawk Hornet in 2024. It’s one of those “if you know you know” – and here is why you will want to get in the know. |

On Friday, July 12th, Governor Chris Sununu (R-New Hampshire) signed HB 1186, “an act relative to firearm purchaser’s privacy,” into law. Thanks to the tireless work of leading New Hampshire gun rights advocate Rep. Jason Janvrin (R-Rockingham District 40) and the strong support of NRA members, New Hampshire becomes the seventeenth state to protect the privacy of law-abiding gun buyers by prohibiting financial institutions from collecting and misusing their personal information.

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
To have no proud monarch driving over me with his gilt coaches; nor his host of excise-men and tax-gatherers insulting and robbing me; but to be my own master, my own prince and sovereign, gloriously preserving my national dignity, and pursuing my true happiness; planting my vineyards, and eating their luscious fruits; and sowing my fields, and reaping the golden grain: and seeing millions of brothers all around me, equally free and happy as myself. This, sir, is what I long for. -- General Francis Marion, American War of Independence, Georgetown, SC [Source: 'Marion, The Life of Gen. Francis Marion' by M. L. Weems, Ch.18] |
