Tennessee-based Tisas has released an updated and more recoil-friendly variant of its PX-9 polymer-framed striker-fired pistol. The company debuted the third-generation PX-9 Tactical in 2022, and, after evaluation, we found it to be an entry-level handgun with the features you wouldn't expect. Using easy-to-find SIG P226-pattern double-stack mags, it had a decent 4.5-pound flat-faced trigger and a factory micro red-dot slide cut in a Trijicon RMR/SRO pattern.

Firearms Policy Coalition (FPC) has commenced appellate briefing at the Second Circuit Court of Appeals in Calce v. City of New York, the organization announced. The lawsuit, filed in 2021, directly challenges New York City’s ban on electronic arms like stun guns and tasers. But the case is not just about less-lethal arms, FPC says, because the appellate court — which covers New York, Connecticut, and Vermont — will, for the first time since the Supreme Court’s 2022 Bruen decision, have to address constitutional protection for ‘arms’ following a final judgment.
