If through some egregious political manipulations and machinations Kamala Harris winds up in the Oval Office in January 2025, her gun-control agenda will make Joe Biden’s efforts to infringe Americans’ Second Amendment rights look feeble and impotent. |

I get to do an insane amount of cool stuff for Shooting Illustrated; however, generalized hunting isn’t one of them. You see, we have an excellent magazine for the hunter in American Hunter, so all the cool hunts go to the talented editors there. Here. Heck, you know what I mean. Bottom line is, I don’t often get the chance to hunt. |

Two suspects are in custody, with one suffering minor injuries, after attempting a burglary in Surprise, Ariz., which was thwarted by an armed homeowner. Police responded to reports of a break-in early in the morning on Monday, April 22. A follow-up 911 call noted that the homeowner had fired shots at the alleged intruders, and then a third call came in separately about a person who was found with a gunshot wound a short distance from the house. |

Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle appeared before the House Oversight Committee to testify on the attempted assassination of Donald Trump, which she conceded was a "failure." U.S. Rep. Gerry Connolly, D-Mass., asked Cheatle, "Do guns make your job easier or harder?" expressing concern that the prevalence of guns in American society might facilitate assassination attempts and political violence more broadly. |

Every generation has its own seminal moment. You never forget where you were when you heard the news. In my grandparents’ case that was the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor. For folks my age it was 9/11. American adults alive in 1963 found their seminal moment in the brutal assassination of President John F. Kennedy. |

The gun reform bill that passed in Massachusetts last week lowers the age for residents to be able to purchase self-defense sprays like mace and pepper spray. If signed into law, the legislation would allow Bay State residents as young as 12 years old to apply for a self-defense spray permit. “In this bill, we now allow 12 to 15-year-olds to apply for a self-defense permit with parental permission and 15-to-18-year-olds to independently apply for a self-defense spray permit,” said State Rep. Michael Day from Stoneham. |

With the ATF’s pistol brace rule being vacated by the Federal District Court in June, it’s looking like pistol braces are here to stay. It’s a good thing too because I’ve been working with the Strike Industries Dual Fold Stabilizer brace, and I’m kind of partial to keeping it. I first saw these at the SHOT Show in January and have had one for a couple of months now to mess with. Let’s take a look and see what I found out. |

If you’ve never heard of Fetter 12 gauge ammo then you aren’t alone, as this is one of the more obscure ammo manufacturers on the market. Made in Russia to help supply the competitive clay shooting sports, Fetter Ammunition produces a wide variety of shotshells loaded with #7-1/2 and #8 shot for competition to 00 buckshot and slugs for home defense. |
