Less than a year into the Biden-Harris administration, there is already a sense that America is at a tipping point. At the fulcrum of this precarious balance is the Second Amendment. If the administration gets its way, what makes America not just unique, but better, stronger and freer than any nation in the world will be subsumed into an undifferentiated globalist collective driven by elites who exist above and apart from the rules and deprivations they impose on others. |

To understand firearm development, it is necessary to have some knowledge of the economy during their progress. The Civil War brought about a great increase in economic opportunities—hence industrialization—to the Union. Manufacturing business grew at a phenomenal rate. The war created a huge market for firearms and fueled the development of their technology. While the waging of war created the demand, it was the Reconstruction period after the war that brought about a maturation of that booming economy. The U.S. military—primarily the army at that time—needed better firearms with which to serve the country. |

Thirty-seven of Washington State’s 39 county sheriffs stirred a political hornet’s nest this week when they issued a statement carrying all of their signatures that affirms their allegiance to the Constitution, particularly the Second Amendment, in what amounts to a slap in the face of the Seattle-based gun prohibition lobby, the State Legislature’s Democrat majority and anti-gun Gov. Jay Inslee and Attorney General Bob Ferguson.

The images are disgusting: a crying woman with an AK barrel in her mouth, children pointing guns at their own heads, a toddler pointing a Glock with their finger on the trigger – lots of photos of children with fingers on triggers.
These are stock images, known in the trade as photo illustrations, because they are set up in advance, as opposed to actual news photographs, which are taken live as news happens. |

The Czech Republic’s Senate approved a measure this week to amend their constitution and protect the right to defend one’s life with a firearm. Prague Morning reports the amendment will be added to “The Charter of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms,” and will say: “The right to defend one’s own life or the life of another person with a weapon is guaranteed under the conditions laid down by law.”

Will Shaner, a 20-year old three-time University of Kentucky All-American rifle team member, picked up a historic Gold Medal in the Tokyo Olympics on Sunday. As detailed by Team USA, Shaner posted an Olympic-record score of 251.6 at the Asaka Shooting Range in Tokyo, edging out China’s Sheng Lihao, to become the first American to clinch the men’s 10-meter air rifle competition. Shaner’s score was just 1.2 points less than the world record of 252.8 set in 2019. The first-time Olympian fired 82 shots Sunday, with all of them being on target and the lowest scoring a 10.1. |

The .50 Action Express cartridge is, without a doubt, one of the world’s most powerful pistol cartridges. It features a .500-inch bullet diameter (33mm) in a 1.285-inch straight-walled case that has a rebated rim. The overall length of the standard .50 AE round measures 1.610 inches, and the ammo is powered with a large pistol primer. |

Democrats, by likening those involved in January 6's Capitol fracas to the Civil War, Pearl Harbor, Kristallnacht, and 9/11, all rolled into one, created a conceptual problem for themselves because even felony charges will result in short sentences. The resulting cognitive dissonance will make people question the overheated claims about January 6. My friend Anony Mee, however, may have figured out one of the more nefarious things that's going on with the extremist hysteria to justify those felony charges.

I’ve heard gunshots boom out close by on the streets of New York City. The scariest was a string of shots that ricocheted up the canyons of glass and steel. I looked for a store to dive into as the gunshots echoed around. Most of those near me on the crowded Midtown Manhattan streets simply stopped and grew quizzical expressions. “Were those gunshots?” one asked. But to the few who knew the sound, it was shocking.
