A Honolulu police officer who claims that his career was destroyed after he challenged police procedures took the witness stand to defend his lawsuit against the department.
Sgt. David Hernandez detailed several allegations against the department Thursday, the most serious of which was that HPD brass ordered him not to talk to state legislators, even as a private citizen. He argued that such an action constitutes a violation of his right to free speech. |

The privilage of being an American citizen is that we are free to become concious of our (regretably) own excesses, AS WELL as the excesses of our sneaky would be overseers ('da UN). As acknowledged humans via the Bill of Rights, we have the right to demand revue of our actions around the world; and determine where we have erred. ...NOT another 2 year congressional secret commity that determines how to absolve or distance those responsible. Then thru representaion, make amends and move on. |

Follow-up report on Metaksa's "Part I" in which she provides additional history of UN's anti-gun agenda.
"In June, the UN General Assembly approved the Firearms Protocol of the UN Convention Against Transnational Crime...When 38 more countries sign on, it will become an international crime to transfer unauthorized firearms."
I'll be sure to sell a gun that day, to a neighbor or friend, because I can -- and because the UN has NO AUTHORITY over me and never will. |

"A man's false arm fell off as he used it to point a gun at bar staff who refused to give him a drink. He then picked up the arm and gun and tried to leave the bar in El Paso, Texas."
KABA NOTE: The report goes on to say that "A 47-year-old has been arrested for aggravated assault and assault," but it doesn't say if it was THIS man they are referring to. |

"When it comes to gun control, Attorney General John Ashcroft has begun his tenure in the Justice Department by sending some mixed messages - improving the chances of stopping sales to criminals on the one hand but imprudently giving sustenance to the National Rifle Association on the other." --Dan K. Thomasson
~ Why do people keep mentioning that gun control group known as the National Rifle Association? |

The court noted that Nevada law does not address the amount of force permissible to make an arrest, and called the case one of "first impression."
~ This article is about the use of deadly force when placing an individual under citizen arrest. I say don't try to arrest them shoot first, ask questions later. |

"More guns were in school -- but not the real kind.
Knife incidents didn't increase from the previous year.
Burglaries were down by almost 54 percent, which may be an indicator of the effectiveness of newly installed surveillance equipment in area schools." |

Embattled leaders in La Verkin on Wednesday renewed their stand against the United Nations. But not before running the anti-UN ordinance they passed July 4 by City Attorney Lowry Snow and making a few judicious changes.
KABA NOTE: Their new law still sends a powerful anti-UN message. |

"The gun runners, and all their knights-errant, dig in their heels as the body counts rise. They couch their arguments in the Constitution, in legal technicalities, in warped logic that insists that the more killing power we have, the safer we are."
~ The "article" goes on to say that the family wants an apology from someone for the death of their son. I think they should apologize to their son for not teaching him about gun safety and getting him killed.
KABA NOTE: This is another beut by Michael Olesker. He's conveniently on vacation now, but you can send your comments to SunSpot.Net |
