A three-judge panel of the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has unanimously upheld its previous preliminary injunction against a section of the California Business & Professional Code which had been used by the state to stifle gun-related advertising in Junior Sports magazine, in a First Amendment case brought by the several gun rights organizations. |

Sporting double the capacity of its well-liked Micro 1911 platform, Kimber's new Covert Double Stack 9mm family has a couple of new members. Breaking cover last October, the CDS9s retain what people liked about the old Micro 9s – the slim and compact profile of these all-metal hammer-fired pistols – but with more capacity and better ergonomics. Hallmarks of the design when introduced were aluminum alloy frames, stainless-steel slides with a direct-mount RMSc optic footprint, accessory rails for lights or lasers, and options for double-stack magazines with 10, 13, or 15-round capacities. |

| QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
| After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small, complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd. — Alexis de Tocqueville |
