By making some staff adjustments, Erie County Clerk David Swarts says the pistol permit office will now be able to expand its hours.
They'd been cut to three days a week because of budget cuts.
The pistol permit office is now located on the first floor in old county hall on Franklin Street in downtown Buffalo.
It will now be open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to Noon.

ARMED robbers scuffled with a security guard and stole his pistol during a hold-up at a Sydney hotel.
Three men, one believed to be armed with a gun, went into the hotel in Wolli Creek, south Sydney, about 3pm (AEST) yesterday, police said today.
They threatened a staff member at a reception desk and demanded money.
Two of the robbers then wrestled with a security guard and stole his Glock pistol, police said.
They escaped with some cash. |

ARMED police swooped in Marsh yesterday after three people were spotted with a gun.
The officers challenged two men and a woman at Westbourne Road at 2.30pm and found a 9mm blank firing pistol in their possession.
The gun was confiscated and the three were given a stern warning.
Det Con Stewart Green, of Huddersfield CID, said: "Sadly we are getting reports of people being seen with guns in public places in Kirklees far too regularly.
"There is absolutely no reason why anyone should have a replica weapon, a ball-bearing gun or a blank-firing pistol in a public place.
"It makes people fearful and if they call us we will treat the weapon as a real one until we can thoroughly examine it." |
