White Oak police alerted residents to this problem this week after four cases of burglars taking guns from vehicles. Lt. Terry Roach said the guns were taken from unlocked cars by burglars looking for valuable items.

Whenever Millennials, those born between 1980 and 2000, are mentioned in the gun debate, it is often assumed that we favor gun control. That notion is further from the truth. ABC News recently polled women 18-25 to see how they felt about a wide range of issues, including the Second Amendment. |

As polling stations across Milwaukee wipe the dust settling from the recent April elections, a storm is brewing in the offices of the Democratic Party for the race in the State Senate. The race for the 4th District State Senate was made for a shoe-in for the Democratic Party, as there is no Republican opponent. The candidate who wins this upcoming primary election would be almost guaranteed the job. With the 2016 Partisan Primary right around the corner, candidates were vying for last minute support before the polls open again on August 9. |

Texas on Monday becomes the eighth state in the U.S. to permit properly licensed gun owners to carry concealed weapons on college campuses, and the timing could not be worse. When he chose Aug. 1 for his concealed carry bill to take effect at all public colleges and universities across Texas, state Rep. Allen Fletcher wasn't aware of the ironic historical significance of that date. |

Midway through her second year in office, Attorney General Maura Healey finds herself fighting two very different battles on two very different fronts — one in the state's gun shops and a second in the halls of Congress. Both battles are helping cement her reputation as a top Democrat law enforcement officer willing to use the levers of power in her office to battle what she sees as potential threats — near and long-term — to the safety of Bay State residents. |

Two decades ago, Christopher Buckley, (the son of the one and only William F. Buckley, Jr.), authored a brilliant piece of satire entitled “Thank You For Smoking.” Very effectively ridiculing political correctness, the book was hilarious, the film later made of it less so. The plot was simple, yet effective: a DC lobbyist, representing the tobacco industry, was close friends with two other lobbyists in Washington, one who represented the alcohol/spirits industry, and the other who lobbied for the firearms industry.

The index, compiled by RLC of Virginia Chairman Clifford Thies, scores members of Congress based on their votes in two categories: Economic liberties and personal liberties.

A proposed plan to replace the triggers in millions of allegedly defective Remington rifles is "designed to fail," a leading expert on class action settlements said. Philadelphia-based consultant Todd Hilsee said the proposal has been crafted by the company and plaintiffs' attorneys largely to address "Remington's public relations concerns" instead of properly notifying gun owners that there may be a problem.
