The Second Amendment Foundation has joined four other gun rights organizations in an amicus brief supporting Olympic gold medalist Kim Rhode in her challenge of Californias onerous background check requirement to purchase ammunition. SAF is joined by the Firearms Policy Coalition, Firearms Policy Foundation, California Gun Rights Foundation and the Madison Society Foundation. They are represented by attorney Joseph G.S. Greenlee. The case is known as Rhode v. Becerra.

A Horry County farm has a reputation for shooting guns toward a housing subdivision, South Carolina lawyers say as they seek a court order to close the property for at least a year. The state has filed a request in Horry County court against George R. Ferrell III and asked a judge for permission to take his farm at 10480 Hwy 707. The farm is located outside of Myrtle Beach and near a subdivision called Harmony at St. James.

A recent national poll found that support for gun control is on the decline and more than one-in-four voters with a firearm in the household recently picked one up. The results of a Rasmussen phone poll of likely voters published last week found that 27 percent of those with guns in the house purchased one within the past six months. Likewise, the survey found that support for more restrictions on firearms has fallen from 64 percent just a year ago to 52 percent today.
