The Criminal Steering of Gun Control

... "Oath keepers such as professional law enforcement officers should be especially aware of the American historical foundation of gun control promoted by criminals. The criminal precedent is of course the 1911 Sullivan Act in New York, (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sullivan_Act). Today, this and other evil laws like it are still in effect, thanks to quasi-criminals and or politicians that violate their oath of office by failing to support and enforce the constitution of the United States of America, which of course, includes the second amendment." ...

... "As most decent people are watching the stock market gyrations and following our federal government’s mismanagement of both monetary and fiscal policy, our nation is entering an unpredictable phase. I’m sorry to say that, based on history, things are going to get worse. Just look at London, England, where four nights of rioting hooligans have resulted in the deployment of an extra 16,000 police officers in an attempt to stop the looting, vandalism, destruction, assaults, and robbery."

"For most recruits, drawing your gun from a standing position is Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). Boston Globe: “Have strict gun control laws spared the UK from the violence of American-style riots?”

"'Although the riots in the United Kingdom have caused approximately $200 million in property damage so far and engulfed almost every major city in England in violence, there has been one small silver lining: Compared to similar outbreaks of unrest in the United States, like the 1992 riots in Los Angeles after the Rodney King verdict, there has been relatively little loss of life. ...' the Boston Globe anonymous editorialists opine. 'This likely can be attributed to one major difference between the US and the UK, which is the low level of gun ownership in Britain ...' Are you effing kidding me mate? S’a joke innit? Unfortunately, predictably, regrettably, ridiculously (consider the defenseless of the British people against the rioters), no. ..." ...

"Mexico's murderous drug gangs, embroiled in a bloody turf war that has resulted in thousands of deaths this year alone, have found support from an unexpected ally, the National Rifle Association. ... "Gun violence in America is a fact. But there also exists a legal gun culture that acts in accordance with the law and under the protection of the Second Amendment. So how do we balance this? And how much do we know about gun violence?"

"Proponents and opponents of guns make reference to the use of guns in crime and for safety purposes. One argument holds that there are about 11,000 gun homicides each year in the U.S. but that there are some 60,000 to 80,000 gun defenses that occur each year. Another argument holds that while there are 60,000 to 80,000 gun defenses each year, there are some 600,000 gun crimes each year. ..." ...

The latest shocking news involves so-called 'conservative' Republican Senators ... who voted against Senator Rand Paul's amendment (85-10) which would have exempted gun records—including 4473's (the form all purchasers fill out when they buy a firearm from a licensed dealer—from the blanket searches by the ATF under the Patriot Act. "Some civilians accept cops' contention that they're 'out-gunned' by perps. Why not give officers access to a modern home defense black sporting rifle (a.k.a., 'assault rifle'). Never mind the fact that police miss their target more often than not, sending 70 percent of their rounds into the community they serve. Then again, some taxpayers consider the idea of AR-toting cops something less than reassuring. Which may be the reason why New Haven police have left 80 Colt M4s in mothballs. But have no fear [sic]!
